The City Commission met in regilar session,liayor Dudley and Comrnissioners Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Dudley,secon�ded by Hedges, that the minutes of t -..e regular meeting of Monday,
June 10th and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read; carri.ed, Dud ley, Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, secord.ed. by Hedges, that this being the time for receiving bids for
constructing a sidewalk on East Walnut Street•from South Third Street to South Seventh
Street in Local Improvement District No -464, the followin -a were received: R.A.Geary,
•l454.64;J.I1T..DeBlasio, .;1248.00 and Geo.M. Savage, Company, �- 1181.76; the bid of Geo.M.
Savage Company in the sum of $1181.76 being the lowest and best bid, said contract is
hereby awarded. to him and the IjTayor and City Clerk authorized. to enter into a contract
therefor upon-the filing of the proper bond as required by 1aw;carried,Dud.ley,Hedges
and Coonse voting aye on roll call.

constructing a sewer along Lots 2 to 13 inclusive, in Chareve Park Addition in Local

voting aye on roll call.

constructing a sidewalk on Eighteenth Avenue South from Division Street to McLaren
Street in Local Improvement. District No.466, 'th.e following bids were received: R.A.
Geary,•$709.00; J.M.DeBlasio,4Ip'603.40 and Geo.Iv:i.lton Savage Company, ,`;573.23; The bid.
of Geo.I1-Savage Company in the sum of $5x73.23 being the lowest and best bid, said
contract was awarded to hire arid. the Mayor and City Clerk authorized. t o'enter into a
contract therefor on behalf of said City upon filing of the proper bond as required by

Loved by Hedges, seconded byDudldy, that this being the time and place for receiving
bids for 1p'80,000.00, General obligation Bonds, for redeeming outstanding city warrants
on the Municipal ;later Fund as follows: State of Washington,Par & 5%; Bailargeon
Winslow Company, x;100.41 for each .`,100 par & 44 %; City of Yakima,Par .& 4 -k% and $25.00
premium; the bid. of the City of Yakima being the lowest and best bid, said City was
awarded. said bonds;carried,Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO:B_- 1083,731; IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COT1111TSSION OF THE CITY OF YAK_IMA,
WASHINGTON
That it is the intention 'of the City Commission of the City of Yakima,,
Washington, to improve certain streets and avenues as hereinafter set forth in said
City, by the construction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks and .cross walks as
follows:
Along the west side of Third Avenue North fr)m the south side of the
alley nort 1n, of West Yakima Avenue, to West "D" Street, excepting in front
of Mots 5,6 and 7 of Block 249 in the original town of North Yakima,
according.to the official plat thereof, and excepting in front of Lots 1
and 2 of Block 247 in The Syndicate Subdivision according to the official
plat thereof; also along the .east side of Fourth Avenue North, from lest
Yakima Avenue to the north line of Charlton Addition according to the
official plat thereof; also along the west side of Fourth Avenue North
from Nest "B" Street to the north line of Charlton Addition according to
the official plat thereof, excepting in front of Lot 3 of Block 268 in
Ker's S666hd...Addition according to the official plat thereof; also along
the east side of Fifth Avenue North from West "D" Street . to Cherry Avenue
excepting in front of lots 9-and 10 of Block 266 in Charlton Addition
according to the official plat thereof, and excepting in front of Lots
1,2,3 arid 4 of Block 1 in Ivlarble's Addition according to the official
plat thereof; all in the City of Yakirja,Washington,
and. by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith; all
sidewalks and crosswalks south of ;test A Street to be eight (8) feet in wid.th, the
sidewalks on both sides of Fourth Avenue. North of Nest "D" Street to be five {�)
feet in width, and all other sidewalks herein provided for shall,be six (6) feet in
width; and that all'of said work and improvement shall be in accordance with plans
and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the
City Clerk.
All persons who may desire tQ object to said proposed, improvement are
hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting . of the City
Come mission to be held at its office in the City Office Building in.the City of Yakima
Washington, at the hour of nine o'clock A.M. on Iulonda.y,.the 8th day of July,1929,
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing ofnall matters relating to said
proposed improvement, all objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay-
ment therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said
