Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon- day, October 2nd, 1939 and adjourned meeting-thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the, following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Street Dept. $1267.86; Cemeter,yY $119.00; Cemetery Care $132.00; Park $314.00; Sanitation $803.75 and Crusher $270.4-: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time 2500 sacks of cement to be used on the curb and gutter projec were made: Helliesen Lumber Company for-1250 barrels ® $3.15 barrel on registered warrant bases and 1250 barrels to Valley Der barrle, less 10y per barrel on registered warrant basis: CD and Clark voting aye on roll call. for receiving bids-for is the following awards per barrel, less 10¢ per Lumber Company for $3.15 carried, Riley, Washburn Moved by Washburn, seconded by.Riley t hat this being the time for receiving bids on sewer pipe to be used by the City of Yakima on what is known.as the "24th Avenue South Sewer District ", the following awards were made: Items 1 to 7 inc.,.Yakima Cement Products $5927.20; A. B. Fosseen, Inc., Items'll & 12 $601.00; Arrowsmith Iron Works Item;-8, $728.95; Wade Sheet Metal Works, Item 9 $76.25: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -404, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE specifying and adopting a system or plan for the making.of certain additions and improvements to the waterworks system of the City of Yakima; declaring the estimated cost thereof as near as may be, providing for the payment of the city's portion of the cost thereof by the issuance of special reve- nue bonds in.the sum of $75,000, providing the form, date and maturities and other de- tails of said bonds, and authorizing the sale thereof; creating and establishing a fund for the payment of said bonds out of the gross revenues of said waterworks system, and declaring an emergency", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -404 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried., Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. . Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -404 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, . Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -404 be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Cle.rk voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, October 13th, 1939 at .9 o'clock A. M.: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13, 1939, 9 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash- burn and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to Bidders for the purchase of $75,000 Water Revenue Bonds, Series E; said bids to be received on Wednesday, October 25, 1939 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn: carried., Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
