The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, July 17, 1939 and. adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried., Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by, Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants as .follows: Current Expense $173.19; Parks $307.91;
City Street $516,15; Water $919.27; Accident $185.00; Cemetery Trust $1215.68; Delin-
quent Property Sales $165.52 and Crusher $502.35: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C- 420, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 22, Block 3, Bungalow
Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima.), according to the official plat thereof now on
file and. of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima. is the owner of the following de-
scribed real property situated in Yakima., Yakima. County, Washington, to- l-�Tit:
Lot 22, Block 3, Bungalow .Addition to North Yakima
(now Yakima) , according to the official plat thereof
now on file and of. record in the office of the
Auditor of Yakima County, Washington,
by reason of a, deed therefor issued by the Treasurer of Yakima County, Washington, to
said City of Yakima, on sale of said property for d elinquent taxes, and.
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of
Yakima. to sell said premises to Rollie 14. Campbell and Mary E. Ca.mpb.ell, husband and
wife, upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That ,said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold. to Rollie M. Campbell. grid Mary E. Campbell, husband and. wife, for the
total sum of Two Hundred Thirty -five and No /100 (235.00) Dollars, payable as follows:
the sum of Fifty and No /100($50.00) Dollars in cash upon the execution of the contract
herein authorized and the balance of One Hundred Eighty -.five and.Ko /100 ($185.00)
Dollars in monthly payments of Ten and No /100 ($10.00) Dollars, beginning August 1,
1939, and. continuing until the entire amount has been paid. All deferred payments
to bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum payable monthly with principal
payments.
The purchaser under said contract shall also agree to pay all
assessments against said premises falling due under any Local Improvement District or
Districts hereafter created or arising from levies hereafter placed against said prem-
ises, a.nd the Mayor and City Clerk of said. City are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a contract in duplicate with said purchaser under the terms hereinabove
set forth.
Said agreement to be entered into shall also contain suitable
provisions requiring any buildings up6- -n said premises to be insured 9..t the expense
of the second parties in a solvent insurance company satisfactory to first party as
its interest may appear and. shall contain a provision that in case of destruction of
or damage to any buildings or improvements on said premises such damage or .loss shall
be the loss of second parties and shall not be a ground for rescission of said contract;
and said contract shall also contain a suitable provision providing for forfeiture
thereof upon failure of second party to make any payment of principal, interest, taxes
or assessments therein provided for when same shall become due or delinquent, notice
of such forfeiture to be for 30 days and service thereof to be by serving same person-
ally upon second parties or by mailing to them at Yakima, Washington, and a. further
provision shall be placed therein that upon final payment of said principal and Interest
and taxes and assessments the first nart,y shall convey said premises to second parties
by a good and sufficient Quit Claim Deed conveying all the interest said City of Yakima
has now in said. premises; and the further provision shall be contained in said contract
against the assignment of secondparties without the consent of first party had and ob-
tained..

Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give
noticeto bidders for 1000 feet of 2, inch cotton, rubber lined, double jacket fire
hose, was and. gum treated; also one one -half ton pick -up truck; said bids to be re-
ceived. on Monday, August 7th, 1939 at ten o' c1 -ock A. M; carried, Riley, Washburn and
Clark voting aye on roll call..

27th, 1939 at one o'clock P. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

RESOLUTION NO. C -421, A RESOLUTION authorizing the Gale of Lots 6, 7, and 8, Heintz
Addition to Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following de-
scribed. real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit:
Lots 6, 7 and 8, Heintz Addition to-Yakima, Wash -
ington, according to the official plat thereof naw
on file and of record in the office of the Auditor
of Yakima County, Washington,
by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treasurer of the County of Yakima, State
of Washington, to said City of Yakima, on sale of said. property for delinquent taxes,
and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of
Yakima. to sell said. premises to JOHN W. FANNAN and MARIE F. FANNAN, husband and .wife,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said_ above described premises be and. they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to JOHN W. FANNAN and MARIE F. FANNAN, husband and wife, for the total
sum of Two Hundred Five and. No /100 ($205.00) Dollars, and. the. Mayor, E. B. Riley, is
hereby authorized to execute a, deed to said. premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Ben.ja-
min, is hereby authorized and. directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the said
City of Yakima.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed a.nd.approved this 27th
day of July, 1039.
