TherCity Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
March 20, 1939 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as'read: carried, Riley, Wash-
burn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that the claim of Irene Dunklee for damages in the
sum of :1,685.00 alleged to have been systa.ined by reason of falling on the sidewalk
on the east side of South Second Street between Pine Street and Maple Street on the
7th day of February, 1939 is hereby rejected and the City Clerk is herpb.y instructed
to notify said claimant of such rejection: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark Noting
a.ye on roll call.
Moved by Wa.shburn,- seconded by Riley that the City Clerk ip hereby instructed to give
notice to contractors for the purchase of equipment for the fire and street departments;
said bids to be received on Monday, April 10th, 1939 at ten o'clock A. M: carried,
Riley, Washburn a nd Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -392, A RESOLUTION authorizing the s ale of Lot 11, Block 7, Boulevard.
Addition to North Yakima (now Yak 'ima), according to the official plat thereof now on
file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima. County, Washington.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following de-
scribed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit:
Lot 11, Block 3, Boulevard Addition to North Yakima (now
Yakima) , according to the official plat thereof now on
file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima
County, Washington,
by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treasurer of Yakima, C.ount,y, St.ate of Wash-
ington, to said City of Yakima, on sale of said property for delinquent real estate
taxes, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said. City of
Yakima to sell said premises to M. CLEMEN HAGAR and,.EL31E M. HAGAR, husband and wife,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON;
That said above described .premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be .sold to M. CLEMEN HAGAR and ELSIE M. HAGAR, husband and wife, for the total
sum of Five Hundred_ and No /100 ($500.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, E. B. Riley, is here-
by authorized. to execute a deed. to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Benjamin,
is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and. on behalf of said City
of Yakima.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 2.7th
day of March, 1939.

ORDINANCE NO. B -375, entitled., "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquendy of install-
ments of assessments levied for the pa.,yment of the cost of improvement in Local Improve-
ment District Mo. 543, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached
for the payment of the unpaid ?portion thereof ", was introduced by Washburn and read
by the City Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by' Riley that Ordinance No. B -375 be passed. to its second
reading and read. by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
