December 12th, 1938 and adjourned meeting thereof, be approved as read: carried., Riley,

Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Garbage Disposal $804.75; Cemetery
$174.00; Street Dept. $19 26.75; L.I.D. Revolving $377.75 and Water Dept. $768.95:

RESOLUTION NO. C -366, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:.
That it is its intention to construct pipe sew4re with the
necessary wye branches, manholes, flush tanks and water connections therefor to serve
the following described district:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the SE-1-
of the SE4 of Section 23, Township 13 North,
Range 1.5 E.W.M.; thence north 160 feet; thence
westerly parallel with Tieton Drive to Stanley
Boulevard; thence northerly and northeasterly
along Stanley Boulevard to West Chestnut
Street; thence westerly along West Chestnut
Street to.30th Avenue South; thence northerly
along 30th Avenue South to West Yakima Avenue;
thence westerly along West Yakima Avenue to
Grandview Avenue; thence southerly along
Grandview Avenue to West Chestnut Street;
thence westerly along West Chestnut Street to
34th Aj,enue South; thence southerly along 34th
Ave. South extended to the south line of
Burrows Subdivision; thence easterly to a
point 150 feet west of the weft. line of ?8th
Ave. South; thence south 60 feet; thence east
15O feet to 28th Ave.'South; thence southerly
along 28th Avenue South to Tieton Drive; thence
easterly along Tieton Drive to the northwest
corner of the NEI of the NW4 of the Ntle of

Tieton Drive to the point of beginning;
all of said construction to be in full .accordance with the plans and specifications
to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve-
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a. meeting
of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of
Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the
9th day of January, 1939, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all
matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determin-
ing the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due
notice of said hearing and of the intnetion to make the aforesaid improvement.
-The labor for said improvement shall be furnished by the Works
Progress- Administration, and the remaining cost and expense of said improvement shall
be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable.

The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners 'Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -367, A RESOLUTION relating to and regulating traffic, travel and
transportation upon the streets of Yakima; and designating North 24th Avenue between
Summitview and Lincoln Avenue, in the City of Yakima, to be a Boulevard .
WHEREAS a petition has been presented to and filed with the
City Commission of the City of Yakima requesting that North 24th Avenue between Summit-
view and'Lincoln Avenue in the City of Yakima be designated a Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, said street is located within the Class A residential
district of the City, and the, City Commission deems it to be for the best interests
and betterment of the City of Yakima to designate said portion of said street as a
boulevard and believes that such des .igna.tion will promote the safety and general wel-
fare of the City, and narticula.rly of the citizens located on said street; and
WHEREAS the designation of said portion of said. street as a
boulevard will not inconvenience the prohibited. traffic thereon for the reason that
there are other streets upon which heavy trucks can travel to the-warehouse section
of the City without increasing the distance required to be travelled; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION'OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That that portion of North 24th AiTenue between Summitview Ave-
nue and Lincoln Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington, be, and the same is hereby,
designated and set aside as a Boulevard, pursuant to Ordinance No. B -131 of the City
of Yakima, and said street shall be subject to all the restrictions and regulations
provided by Ordinance, and by law governing travel and traffic upon Boulevards.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no vehicle in excess of 5000 pounds
'shall at any time travel over, along, or upon said Boulevard, except insofar as it
may be necessary to cross said Boulevard on some intersection street; Provided, how-
ever, that in case of necessity, upon permit first being received from the City Commiss-
ion, vehicles in excess of said weight may be permitted'to travel upon such Boulevard.
