The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded. by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
November 28th, 1.938 and adjourned meeting thereof be.approved as read: carried, Riley,
Washburn and. Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: City Street $1796.62; Garbage
Disposal $827.25; Rock Crusher $23.62 and Cemetery x$194.00: carried, Riley, Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for receiving bids for
constructing a domestic water system known and designated as "Broadway Park Water Sys-
tem No. 2.t1, Local Improvement District No. 543, the following were received; H. J. Adler
Construction Company 1,667.95 and J. M. DeBlasio $1561.56: the bid of J. M. DeBlasio
in the sum of $1561.56 being the lowest and best bid, said contract is hereby awarded
to him and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into a contract therefor on
behalf of the City of Yakima: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. C -361, providing for the construction of concrete curbs and gutters in Modern Ad-
dition, and there being insufficient protest in writing, or otherwise, a.gkinst said
Improvement or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local
improvement be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -354, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property
in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of concrete curbs and gutters;
establishing a loca.l.improvement district;providing for the method of payment therefor,
and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance, No. 354 be passed to its second read -
ing and read by title only: carried., Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. 354 be passed to its third. read-
ing and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. 354 be passed as finally read:

ORDINANCE NO. B -355, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install-
ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Im-
provement District No. 533, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attach-
ed for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Riley and read by
the City Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -355 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

RESOLUTION NO.. C -363, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 16, Block. 23, Tennant
and Miles' Modern Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima), according to the official plat
thereof now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Wash-
ington.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following describ-
ed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -whit:
Lot 16, Block 23, Tennant anal. Miles' Modern
Addition to North Yakima (ncw Yakima.),
according to the official plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the
Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treas-
urer of Yakima County, County of Yakima, State of Washington, to said City of Yakima,
on sale of said property for delinquent real estate taxes, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the bd.st interest of said City of
Yakima to sell said premises to BALZER MILLER and EDITH A. MILLER, husband and wife,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to BALZER MILLER and EDITH A. MILLER, husband and wife, for the total
sum of Two Hundred Fifty and No /100 ($250.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, E. B. Riley, is
hereby authorized to execute a deed to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Ben-
jamin, is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behlaf of the
said City of Yakima.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 5th
day of December, A. D. 1938.
