The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners,Wa.shburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular.meeting of Monday,
November 14th, 1938 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Washburn°, seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Revolving $232.30; Cemetery $233.50
Curb & Gutter $56.00; Irrigation $132.00; Crusher $242.44; Park $102.00; Sanitation
$795..25, Street $1864.86 and Water $1517.96: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting
aye on roll call.
Moved -by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor on the following funds: Current Expense
$4975.88; City Street $2280.15.; Library $744.68• Parks $156.69; Cemetery $283.81;
Revolving $1704.31; Irrigation $3077.01; Water 47255.35; Crusher $1138.90; Road &
Bridge $21.85; Accident 75.00; Water Deposit $364.00; Cemetery Trust $3619.49; Del -
Iftquent PropeW, 3-99 Sal.e.s $2653.38; P. R. & P. Fund $30.00; L.I.D. Guaranty $700.00; Muni-
cipal Garage and Larson Library Trust $90.33: carried, Riley, Washburn and
Clark voting; aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark,. seconded by Washburn that the City Engineer having reported the comple-
tion of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 539, in the sum of $432.27,
said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an
assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give-notice
of hearing:'on said assessment roll for Monday, the 12th day of December., 1938 at 9
o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu-
tion No. C -359, providing for a- domestic water system in Broadway Park Addition and othe
streets in the.City of Yakima, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise,
to said improvement or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a
local improvement district be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn.and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -353, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of.property
in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the-construction of a water system to serve vari-
ous lots and tracts of land with water for domestic use; establishing a local improve-
ment district; providing for the method of payment therefor, and, creating a special
fund ", was introduced by Riley and read' by the City Clerk.
Moved by Clark,.seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -353 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried., Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -353 be passed to its third..
reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -353 be passed as finally
read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice to contra.etors by publication as required by law for constructing a Water.sys-
tem in Broadway Park'Addition and other streets in the City of Yakima, Local Improve-
ment District No. 543; said bids to be received on Monday; December 5th, 1938 at 10
o'clock A. M: carried', Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley.that this being the time for receiving bids for
lighting the- Municipal Airport, said bids were opened and read by the City Clerk and
said meeting adjourned to 2 o'clock P. M. for tabulation and report of the City Engin-
eer and Electrical Inspector: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on�roll
call.

ADJOURNED MEETING, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 1938, 2 P. M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash-
burn and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the report of the City Engineer and the
Electrical Inspector on their tabulation of the bids received for lighting the Municipal
Airport be read as follows: Inland Pipe and Supply Company.$2522.31; Westinghouse
Electric Company $2509. 23; NePa.ge, McKinney Company $1556.00; Yakima Electric Company
$1061.67; Grayba.r Electric Company $2695.83: the bid of the Yakima Electric Company
in the sum of $1061.67 being-the lowest and best bid, said contract is- hereby awarded
to said company: ca.rri ed, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded_ by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the com-
pletion of the construction of curbs and gutters in Local Improvement District No.
540; said improvement is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare
an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk directed to give notice of
hearing on said roll for. Monday, December 19th, 1938 at 10 O'clock A. M; carried,
Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn: carried, Riley, Washburn
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
