Tyre City Commission met in regular session, Mayor,Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley,, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
October 17th;•1938 and-adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: -carried, Riley,
Washburn and-Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by .Washburn., seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the
Cityy Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Cemetery $126.00; Cemetery Care
$174.00:; Crusher $319.68; City Street $1,819.22;.Pa.rks $192.00 and-sanitation $783.00:
carried, Riley;. Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll.call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -359, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct a water system to serve
all the lots and tracts of land included within the following described districts:
Beginning at a point on the south line
of the Southwest Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of Section 30, Township
13 North, Range 18 E.W.M., 165 feet east
of-the Southwest corner of said subdi-
vision;. thence north and parallel with
the center line of Broadway Avenue 666
feet; thence easterly 330 feet; thence
southerly 666 feet; thence westerly 330
feet-. to the point of beginning; said
district to include Lots 1 to 21, Block
5 of Broadway Park Addition and Lots
13 to 24, Block 6 of Broadway Park Addi-
tion No. 2, in the City of Yakima;
said .improvement shall consist of the completion of the necessary mains, fire hydrants,
valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use,
and the. cost of construction is to be paid from special assessments levied upon the
property in said district, in accordance with law. The above improvement is to be
constructed in:full.accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by
the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified.to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commi.ssion to:be held at its office in the City Mall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima - County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 21st day
of November, 1938, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all matters
relating to- said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the .
method of payment-therefor;-'and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice
of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of
said improvement;:.:including engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of-
not'ices,. -. -and all other expenses incident thereto shall be levied and assessed against
all--of'-the';'- property- Legally.- -and properly assessable therefor as provided bylaw and
a.s -abov.e 'de.scribed:; ...and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City
Commission a:.t or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and
other information required by law to be by him submitted.

RESOLUTION NO. C -;60, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Yakima that the.diree-
tor of'highways paint traffic lines along the center line of PSH No. 3 and 5, within
the corporate limits of the City of Yakima:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City does hereby acknow-
ledge that it will. not satisfactorily accomplish and will delay and be unable to
paint said traffic lines on such City streets and waives notice of the director of
highways thereof;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the director of highways is re-
quested and permitted to paint said traffic lines to the amount of One hundred Eights -
four ($184.00) dollars, an amount not in excess of the amount of money now credited or
reasonable anticipated to accrue to the City of Yakima in the motor vehicle fund dur-
ing the.next.fiscal year, such painting of traffic lines cost to be charged against
the amount so credited, or to be credited; and
BE IT.FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon statement of the cost of such
painting of traffic lines and journal voucher therefor, approved by the City of
Yakima, for all labor, equipment'.- materials, supplies and engineering, the State
Auditor is authorized and directed to reserve and credit to the department of high-
ways in payment for such painting of traffic lines any funds credited or to be
credited to the City of Yakima in the motor vehicle fund not to exceed. the above
specified sum; all. in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 187, Session Laws of
1937.

Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 533 for constructing a domestic water
system at Johm.son °s Corner, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to
said assessment roll, or any part thereof; It is ordered that the ordinance confirming
said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as finally read: carried., Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO.' B -348, entitled," "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering
Local Improvement District No..533, as created and established by Ordinance No. B =313
of the ordiriances*of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City
Clerk.
