The City Commission met -in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
May 2nd, 1935 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Wash-
burn and Clark voting aye ,on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -303, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending subdivision 5 of section 3 of
Ordinance No. B -296, entitled "AN ORDINANCE defining milk and cream and certain products,
milk producer, pasteurization,,etc., prohibiting the sale of adulterated and misbranded
milk and milk products, providing for the qualification of the City MAilk •Inspector and
his deputies, if any', requiring permits and licenses for sale of milk and milk products,
regulating the inspection of dairy farms and milk plants, the examination, grading,
laveling, placarding, pasteurization, re-grading, distribution and sale and denatur-
ing of milk products, providing for the publishing of milk grades, regulating the con-
struction of future da -iries and milk plants and providing a penalty for violation here-
of and repealing Ordinance No. A- 153 ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk

Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on the
petition for the vacation of that portion of-South 12th Avenue beginning at the North-
east Corner of Lot 14, Block 13, Milroy Plat; thence east along the south line of the
alley in said block extended 12 feet; thence southwesterly parallel with the existing
.pavement on 12th Avenue South 128.5 feet; thence southwesterly_to the.southeast corner
of said Lot 14; thence north along the east line of said lot to"the point of beginning,
and there being no protest in writing,or otherwise to said vacation proceedings or any
part thereof; it is ordered.tha.t the ordinance vacating said property as heretofore
petitioned for be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting
aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -304, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of that portion
of South Twelfth Avenue described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of
Lot 14, Block 13, Milroy Plat, thence East along the South line of-the alley in said
Block extended 12 feet; thence Southeasterly parallel with the existing pavement on
12th.Avenue South 125.5 feet; thence Southwesterly to the Southeast corner of said Lot
14; thence north along the East line of said lot ;to the point of beginning "', was in-
troduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.

Moved by Riley, secondedtby Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 527, providing for the construction
of an irrigation system on 28th Avenue, Barge Street, Summitview Avenue and other
streets in the City of Yakima and there being no protests in writing or otherwise to
said assessment roll or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming
said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as finally read: carried, Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -305, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering
Local Improvement District No. 527, as creat-ed and established by Ordinance No. B -287
of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima ", 'was introduced by Clark and read by the City
Clerk.

RESOLUTION NO. C- 28, A RESOLUTION abolishing certain positions of the. Fire Department
M0. i of the City of Yakima, Washington.

WHEREAS, it is deemed for the best interest of the Fire- Depa.rt-
ment of the City of Yakima that certain positions be abolished and that the Fire Chief
be authorized to delegate suitable members of the Fire DE:partment'to perform certain
duties:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIDIA:
1. That the positions of mechanic and electrician in the
Yakima Fire Department be and the same are hereby abolished.

2. That the Chief of the Fire Department be and he is hereby
authorized to delegate suitable members of the Fire Department from time to time as
occasion may demand, one to perform the necessary mechanical, the other to perform
the necessary electrical work of the department, who shall receive whatever compen-
sation the Chief of the Fire Department, with the apnrova.l of the City Commission, may
deem suitable and consistent with civil service ratings.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 11th
day of May, 1938.

RESOLUTION NO. C -3,29, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 18, Block 1, Inglewood
Addition to Yakima., Washington.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following de-
scribed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to-wit:
Lot 18, Block 1, Inglewood Addition,
Yakima_, Washington,
according to the official plat thereof now on file and.of record;in,the office of the
Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor issued by the
Treasurer of Yakima County, State of Washington, to said City of Yakima, on sale of
said property for delinquent taxes, and
WHEREAS,. it appears to be for the best interest of said City of
Yakima to sell said premises to NORA JUDE, an unmarried woman,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE-IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF, YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby
authorized to be sold to NORA JUDE, an unmarried woman, for the total sum of Six
Hundred and No /100 (600.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, E. B. Riley, is hereby authorized
to execute a deed to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl Benjamin, is hereby
authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the said .City of Yak-
ima.
