Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 4th, 1938 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read:--carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on r oll call.. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for receiving bids on the 9th Avenue Irrigation District, Local Improvement District No. 529, the following were received: J. M. DeBlasio, $3,288.26; H. J. Adler Construction Company, $3,260.00; Thomas.Dingle, $3,301.50; the bid of H. J. Adler Construction Company in the sum of $3,260.00 was accepted_as the lowest and best bid and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute a contract therefor on..behalf of the City of Yakima upon receipt of the proper bond as required..by law: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. 0-323, BEFORE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, STATE OF WASHINGTON: IN THE MATTER OF.THE VACATION ) OF A PORTION OF SOUTH TWELFTH : AVENUE ) RESOLUTION fixing .the time for hearing on Petition to .vacate a portion of South Twelfth Avenue. WHEREAS a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a. municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of that portion of South Twelfth Avenue described as follows, to- !grit: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 14, Block 13, Milroy Plat,, thence east along the South line of the alley in said Block exten- ded 12 feet; thence Southeasterly parallel with the existing pavement on 12th Avenue South 128.5 feet; thence Southwesterly to the Southeast corner of said Lot 14: thence North along the East line of said lot to the point of beginning; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKINIA: That said petition shall be brought.on for hearing and determina- tion on Monday,,the 9th.da,y of May, 1938, at the hour of 10 o'clock in the forenoon on said day at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same , may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law. ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, APRIL 12th, 1939, 9 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash- burn and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the bond of the H. J. Adler Construction Company in the sum of $3,260.00 for constructing a pavement on West Yakima Avenue, Local Improvement District No. 526 is hereby approved and placed on file with the City Clerk: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of the construction of an irrigation system on 28th Avenue and other streets in the City of Yakima, Local Improvement District No. 527, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk directed to_give notice of the hearing on said assessment roll for Mon- day, May 9th, 1938 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice to contractors for the construction of a Care Taker's House at Oak Flats; said bids to be received. on Monday, May 2nd, 1938 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Wash- burn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by'Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
