The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
March 21st, 1938- and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call'.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants a. s follows: Street Dept..$1,555.42; Garbage
Disposal 44.00; 'Park Dent. $108.00; L.I.D. Revolving 4265.80; Cemetery $126.00; Ceme-
tery Care 490.00: carried, Riley, Washburn and Gla.rk voting -aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -292, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of .install-
ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of 'the improvement in Local
Improvement District No. 520, and providing for the issuance of bonds with couoons at-
tached,for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Washburn and
read by the City Clerk.

call.

establishing districts for said purposes, and providing for a board of adjustment, and
repealing Ordinances Nos. B -22, B -3 -77 - 172," was

Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on
Resolut -ion No. C -311, providing for the construction of an irrigation system beginning
on Lenox Avenue with 10th Avenue - South, etc., and there being insufficient protest on
the part of the abutting property owners in said district against said improvement, or
any part thereof; it is ordered. that the ordinance creating a local improvement district
be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -294, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property
in the City of Yakima, Washington, by constructing the necessary pipe lines and appur
tenances and acquiring the necessary water and water rights to supply various lots
,and tracts of land. with- water for irrigation purposes; establishing a local improvement
district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a. special fund ",
was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.

Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
notice to contractors by publication, as required by law, for the construction of an
irrigation system on Lenox Avenue with 10th Avenue etc., in Local Improvement District
No. 529; said bids to be received on Monday, April 11th, 1938 at 10 o'clock A. M.;
carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll, Local Improvement District No. 521, created by Ordinance No. B -253,
for the construction of an irrigation system in Blocks 200, 201 and 202, Walker Addi-
tion and there being no protest in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or
any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming said assessment roll and
every part thereof' be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark vot-
ing aye on,roll call.
ORDINANCE- -NO. B -295, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering
Local Improvement District No. 521, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -253
of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the
City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. B -296, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE defining milk and cream and certain pro-
ducts, milk producer, pasteurization, etc., prohibiting the sale of adulterated and
misbranded milk and-milk products, providing for the qualification of the City Milk
Inspector and his deputies, if any, requiring permits and licenses for sale of milk
and milk products, regulating the inspection of dairy farms and milk plants; the ex-
amination, grading, labeling, pla.carding, pasteurization, regrading, distribution -and
sale and denaturing of milk products, providing for the publishing of milk grades, re-
gulating the construction of future dairies and milk plants and providing a penalty
for violation hereof and repealing Ordinance No. A -153 ", was introduced'by Riley and
read by the City Clerk.
