The City Commission met in. regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn -and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
March 7th, 1938 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley,
Washburn- and. Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -285, entitled-, 10AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install -
ments of assessments.leyied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Im-
provement District No. 513, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached
for the payment of 'the unpaid- portion thereof ", was introduced by Washburn and read by
the City Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -289 be passed to its second read-
ing and read by tittle only: carried -, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.

RESOLUTION NO.-C-315, BE IT, RESOLVED BY THE :CITY COMMISSION OF. THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH
INGTON:
That it is-its intention to construct an irrigation system to
serve all the lots, blocks and parcels of land included within the real estate herein-
after described, said improvement to consist of the acquiring of right of way easements,
water stock, and the completion of the necessary mains, laterals, service connections
and other appurtnenaces for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation purposes to
each lot and tract of lane within the proposed district, and the cost of construction
is to be paid from special assessments levied upon the property in said district in
accordance with law.
That the district to be served by and assessed for the above de-
scribed improvement is described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at' -the intersection of Broadway
Avenue with Stewart Street; thence westerly
along Stewart Street to Cornell Avenue; thence
northerly along Cornell Avenue to Baker
Street; thence easterly along Baker Street to
Broadway Avenue, thence northerly along
Broadway Avenue to Campbell Avenue; thence
easterly along Campbell Avenue to the alley
east of Landon Avenue; thence southerly
along said alley to Lenox Avenue; thence
westerly along Lenox Avenue to Broadway Avenue;
thence northerly along Broadway Avenue to
the point of beginning, said described dist-
rict to include "all the lots and blocks in
Boulevard Second Addition; Broadway Park
Addition and Broadway Park Addition No. 2 to
Yakima, Washington;
the above irrigation system to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and
specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified, to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of ten ololock A. M., on Monday, the 4th day of April,

1938, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating
to said proposed improvements or objections thereto, and for determining the method
of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said
hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and
assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as pro-
vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to sub -
mit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all
of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.

The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash-
burn and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Wa.shbu rn, seconded by Riley that the following claims numbered from 36210
to 36215, inc., be allowed-and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the
following funds: L.I.D. Guaranty $1,500.00; L.I.D. Revolving $4,125.00; Cemetery
Trust $3,149.01; P. R. & P. Fund $1,453.84.: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark vot-
ing aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION N0, C -316, A RESOLUTION authorizing the expenditure of an additional sum
of money for the improvement of certain streets in the City of Yakima:
WHEREAS,.due to an increase of the. cost of materials, the total
cost of City Street Project No. 2 amounted to $5,597.14 instead of $5,247.86 as shown
in Resolution No. C -299•
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the expenditure of an additional sum of x$349.28 be and
the same is hereby authorized under the provisions of Chapter 187 of the Laws of 1937.

of money for the improvement of certain streets in the City of Yakima;
WHEREAS, due to an increase of the cost of materials the total
cost of City Street Project No. 3 amounted to x$6,464.25 instead of $6,425.40 as shown
in Resolution No. C -298.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the expenditure of an additional sum of $38.85 be and the
same -is hereby authorized under the provisions of Chapter 187 of the Laws of 1937.
PASSED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington,
on this 15th day of March, 1938.

in Resolution No.. 0-296.

same is hereby authorized under the provisions of Chapter 157 of the Laws of 1937.

cost of City Street Project No; 6 amounted to $7,944.21 instead of $7,741.72 as shown
in Resolution No. C -295.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the expenditure of an additional sum of $202.49 be and the
same is hereby authorized under the provisions of Chapter 157 of the Laws of 1937.
