Moved by Riley that on account of the absence of Commissioners Clark and Washburn, the hearing on- Resolution No. 0-307 be.postponed to Wednesday, March 2nd, 1935 at 10 o'clock A. M: Moved by Riley that Resolution No. C -310 be accepted and final adoption postponed until Tuesday, March 1, 1935 at 9 o'clock A. M. Moved by Riley that-we do now adjourn to Tuesday, March 1, 1935 at 10 o'clock A. M.: ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, MARCH 1, 1935, 10 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioner Clark present on roll call, Commissioner Washburn absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -310, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its.intention to construct an irrigation system to serve all the lots, blocks and parcels of land included within the real estate here -. inafter described, said improvement to consist of the acquiring of right of way ease- ments, and the completion of the necessary mains, laterals, service connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering water for irrigation,purposes to each lot and tract of land within the proposed district, and the cost of construction is to be paid from special assessments levied upon the property in said district in accordance with law. That the district to be served by and assessed for the above described improvement is described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a. point on the east line of Sixth Avenue North 301.0 feet south of the south line of Willow Street; thence easterly parallel with the south line of Willow Street a distance of 270 feet to the west line of Fifth Avenue North; thence north 50.5 feet; thence west 125 feet; thence north 50 feet; thence east 125 feet; thence north 50 feet; thence east 315 feet; thence. north to the south line of Lot 13 of Leamings Addition; thence east to the southeast corner of said Lot 13; thence north along the ,east line of Lots 13, 12 and 7 of Leamings Addition to North Avenue; thence westerly along North Avenue to the east line of Sixth Avenue North; thence south along said east line to the point of beginning; the above irrigation system to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held.at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yaki- ma County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 21st day of March, 1935, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters re- lating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as pro- vided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to sub- mit to the City Commission at or prior,to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. ADJOURNED MEETING, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2nd, 1935, 10 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash- burn and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -307 providing for an irrigation system on 28th Avenue, Barge Street, Summitview and other property in said city, and there being insufficient protest against said improvement or any part thereof for the installation of said irrigation system, it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -257, entitled, 1°AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property In the City of Yakima, Washington, by constructing the necessary pipe lines and appurtenances and acquiring the necessary water and water rights to supply various lots 6 and tracts of land with water for irrigation purposes; establishing a local improvement . district, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk.. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -287 be.pa.ssed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance -No. B -287 be passed to :its third read- ing and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark,.seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -287 be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the com- pletion of the irrigation system in.Walker Addition, Local Improvement District No. 521, in the sum of $1,777.71, said improvement is hereby accepted, and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk directed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, March 29th, 1938 at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
