Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 7th, 1938 and adjourned. meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for two trucks for the Water Department, the following were the successful bidders: Bell - Wyman Company on R -F. 1937 Model with 700x20 tireā€¢s-, trading in City Truck #36, total $936.90; Ross Lynch, Inc., for T- 16B -G. M. C. Truck with 914 rear and 750 front tires, trading in City Truck #37, total $1,121.10: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark. voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -283, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. B -272, entitled,. "AN ORDINANCE fixing the timefbr closing Roller Skating Rinks in the City of Yakima, prescribing penalties for violation thereof, and declaring an emergency.", by adding a new sub - section thereto, 'to be known as "Section 1 -A", providing for the supervision of Roller Skating Rinks and for a matron thereat; and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -283 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: ca.rried,.Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. B -284, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE authorizing the sale of Lots 13 and 14 of Block 252 original town of North Yakima (now Yakima) according to the official plait thereof now on file and of recordin the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, State of Washington, to H. A. Huff, whose wife is Elsie L. Huff, and to W. R. Huff, whose wife Is Grace W. Huff, said parties being co- partners, doing business under the firm name and style of "Huff Bros." was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -284 be passed to its second reading and read by -title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. C -308, A RESOLUTION authorizing transfer of Bonds numbered 288 to 292, of Port of Tacoma, and the execution of assignment. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima heretofore owned bonds numbered 289 to 292, inclusive, of the Port of Tacoma, in the principal amount of $5000.00, due February 1st; 1935, which said bonds have heretofore been sold and transferred; and WHEREAS a:t the time the said City of Yakima owned said bonds it stamped_ on the back of said bonds "Property of the City of Yakima ", and thereafter en- dorsed the same "Pay to Bearer, City of Yakima, by Ray Washburn, Treasurer "; and it is now necessary that a written assignment of said bonds be executed so that the present holders of said bonds may collect the same; now therefore, BE IT-RESOLVED BY THE:CITY OF YAKIMA that said written assign- ment be executed and that Forrest Herring, the Treasurer of the City of Yakima, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute assignments in writing of said bonds for and on behalf of the City of Yakima. J. Bernath, an employee in said department; said collisAion occuring on South First Street on.the 15th day of January, 1935, has been rejected: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark vot- ing aye on roll call. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn to meet Wednesday, February 16th, 1938 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
