The City.Commi.ssion met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
January 17th, 1938 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call..
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Engineer having reported the com-
pletion of Local Improvement District No. 520 in the sum of $3,453.11 for constructing
a domestic water system in Walker Addition; it is ordered that said improvement be
accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll therefor And
the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday,
February 21, 1938 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded. by Riley that the following claims in the sum of $26,032.25
be allowed. and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense
$3,821.38; L.I.D's $612.12; Cemetery Trust 9612.12: F. R. & P. $200.00; L.I.D. Guaranty
..$2500.00; Delinquent Property Sales $93.57; Cemetery $111.07; Irrigation 9368.41:
Accident 947.00: L.I.D. Rev.,$1833.04; P. R. & P. $20.5 ; Municipal Gara.ge.$184.62;
Parks $1014.91; City Street 92171.11; Water Deposit _ Z and .Water $11,915.52; Fixed
Estimate $50.00: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 513 for the construction of a sewer
on South Naches Avenue and.Sixth Street and the City Engineer having heretofore re-
ported the completion of said improvement, together with the assessment roll heretofore
authorized; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming said assessment roll'and every
part thereof be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting
aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -271, entitled, IRAN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering
Local Improvement District No. 513, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1.88
of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City
Clerk.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -271 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.

ORDINANCE NO. B -272, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time for closing Roller Skat-
ing Rinks. in, the City of Yakima, prescribing penalties for violation thereof, .and de-
claring an emergency ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -272 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

ORDINANCE NO. B -273, entitled, "AN.ORDINANCE amending Ordinance B -242, entitled "AN
ORDINANCE fixing the amount of the tax levies necessary to raise the amount of the
estimated expenditures of the City of Yakima for the ensuing year, to be levied upon
the real and personal property of.said City ", by changing the anme of the Department
Of "Sanitation", to "Garbage Disposal ", and by changing the title of Sanitation "Inspec-
tor" to "Superintendent of Garbage Disposal ", was introduced by Riley and read 'by the
City Clerk.

call.
