Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, March 17th, 1947 be:approved as read: carried, Buck. and Bishop voting aye on roll call, Clark absent. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that claims on the following funds be allowed and the clerk authorized to issue warrants in payment therefor: Current Expense $296.67; Street Department $199.59; Cemetery $29.1.7;.Irrigation $164.34; Library Gift $90.89: carried, Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call, Clark_ absent. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer is hereby authorized and direct ed to prepare plans and specifications to resurface Yakima. Avenue with.bituminous concrete from Naches Avenue to Sixth Avenue: carried, Buck and Bishon.:-vo.t.ing aye on roll call, .Clark .absent. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the City Engineer having filed a.supplement.re- Dort in connection with Resolution No. C -709 and recommending that an improvement district be created by petition for constructing an irrigation system for Lot 5 and the South Half of Lot 6; Lots 1.1, 12, 13 and 14 of Central Park Addition; it is ordered that the `City Attorney prepare such an ordinance and that the same be passed as read: ca.rrie Buck and Bishop voting aye on-roll call, Clark absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -767, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by the construction of an irrigation system; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the method of payment thereforFand creating a special fund. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance No. B -767 be passed as read: carried, Buck and Bishop voting aye on roll call, Clark absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -720, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIPIiA, WASH,: Whereas, by Resolution adopted March 19, 1947, the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima. County, Washington agreed to and did employ the City.of Yakima to administer and enforce the County Zoning rdina.nce and all other county ordinances pertaining to the use of land and-construction of buildings thereon within the boundaries�of the map attached to said resolution and giving unto the City of Yakima the right to collect and retain all fees for such services heretofore or hereaft paid, issue all.permits.and make all inspections in connection therewith. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of-Yakima. accept such employment for and on behalf of Yakima County, Washington in accordance with its said resolution and map which are attached to and made a part hereof. ADJOURNED MEETING, FRIDAY,MARCH 28th, 1947, 2 P.M. The "ity Commission met pursuant to adjournment,.Mayor Buck and Commissioner Bishop present on roll call, Commissioner Clark absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -721, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY-COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That.WHEREAS one of the laterals of that certain irrigation canal known as the Schanno Ditch as now constructed, occupies a portion of the city streets of the City of Yakima and also occipies portions.of certain real estate, owned by Gilbert Moen and said lateral supplies water for irrigation purposes to lands owned by Peter a.. Voelker and Harold E. Shannon and Maude E. Shannon, his wife, And WHEREAS, it is the desire of all of said parties to realign said lateral and to construct a. pipe line for the purpose of carrying said irrigation wa.ter,.and the said Gilbert Moen, Peter A. Voelker and Harold E. Shannon and Maude E. Shannon, his wife, having agreed to pay to the City of Yakima a portion of .the expense of such realignment and construction of said pipe line in the sum of $1,550.00 and it being for the best interests of the City of Yakima to realign said lateral and to con- struct said pipe line and to furnish the labor and material therefor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the City of Yakima undertake the construction of said pipe line and the realignment of said. lateral at its own expense and that it accept the offer of the said Gilbert Moen, Peter A. goelker and Harold E. Shannon and Maude E. Shannon, his wife, to contribute to the cost thereof the. sum of $1,550.00 and the City Attorney Is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a contract for all the parties covering the said construction.and payment.
