The City Commission met in regular session, .Mayor Buck and- Commissioners Bishop and
Clark present on roll call -
Moved by Buck, seconded`by Bishop that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
January 20, 1947, and adjourned meeting .thereof be approved as read: carried, Bucl,,,
Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that Dr. S. J. Hathaway be and he is hereby appointed
as acting Health Officer to serve during the absence of Dr. Stanley Benner; said
appointment be begin February 1, 19475. carried, Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on
roll calla
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the sewer system in L.I.D. No. 606 by the contractor, in the sum of X30,578,24; said
wort; is hereby accepted and the City Engineer directed to prepare an assessment roll for
said district, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice of hearing on said
assessment roll as required by law for Monday February 17th, 1947 at 10 01 clock A.II.

Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the tiiiie for the hearing on Resolution
No. C-705,-providing for the improvement of 26th Ave. South from Nob Hill Boulevard to
Ti eton Drive by grading, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters, and it
appearing that a supplemental petition signed by property owners in said district deemed
necessary, for the reason that the assessed valuation of the district was lower than the
estimated cost of above improvement; it is ordered that the hearing on said resolution
be- continued to Monday, February lOth, 1947 at 10 of clock A.Iv1; ' carried, Buck, Bishop
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that this being the time for the hearing on
Resolution No. C -706, providing for the constructing of a domestic water system,beginn-
ing at the intersectio_m of 23rd Avenue and Inglewood Avenue and including; other property
more particularly described in said resolution; and it appearing that a suppID-mental
Petition signed by property owners in said district was deemed necessary for the reason
that the assessed valuation was lower than the estimated cost of the above improvement;
it was ordered that the hearing on said resolution be continued to T:tonday, February 10,
1947 at 10 o1 clock A.1,1; carried, Buck, Bishop and Cl!.ark voting; aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Clark that John H. Lynch be dnd he is hereby appointed to the
office of Police Judge of the City of Yakima; said appointment to take effect January 2,
1947 and continue until his successor is elected and qualified; carried, Buck, Bishop
and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B*7565 AN, ORDITiLLICE amending Ordinance No. A -258 entitled: VAN ORDINANCE
defining the duties of the City Clerk and repealing ordinances numbered 2, 260 and 263
and all other ordinances and parts or ordinances in conflict herewith."
Moved by Clark, seconded by Bishop that Ordinance NO. B -756 be uassed as read: carried
Buck, Bishop and Clark voting- aye on roll call.
Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that we do---now adjourn to meet Friday, January 31,
