Mayor Mogren and Commissioners Sanford end Clark Dresent:on roll call. Moved by Mogren,.seconded by Sanford that the minutes of the regular meeting of meeting of Monday, December 3rd',.be approved as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by,Sanford, seconded by Clark that this being the time for receiving bids for paving-the alleys in Blocks 230 and 250, L.I,.D, No, 595; the following were received: J. M.. DeBlasio $5,433:90; D. T. Gallagher $7,959.11; Sela.h Concrete & Block Co. $7,238.•95; The bid of J. M. De Blasio being the lowest and best bid said contract was awarded to him and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract therefor upon receipt of the proper bond as required by law: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Mbv'Od by Clark, seconded by Sanford that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 580, and there being no objections in writing or otherwis to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that the ordinance confirm- ing said assessment roll and each and every part thereof be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -674. AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 580, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -549 ofthe ordinances of the City of Yakima, Washington.. Moved by Clark, seconded-by Sanford that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -663 providing for the vacation of the westerly 130 feet of the esist- ing alley in Block 330,'Capitol Addition, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said vacation or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance vacating said property end every part thereof be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B =675, AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of an alley being the westerly 130 feet of the ex.ising alley in Block 330 as shown on the original plat of Capitol Addition to.North Yakima -(now Yakima), Washington. Moved by Clark, eeconded-by Sanford that .Ordinance No. B -675 be passed as*read: carried,-Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -676, AN ORDINANCE,granting Joe Klingele, doing business as Klingele Fuel Company, permission to construct, maintain and operate a railway spur track across South Fourth Avenue within the City df Yakima. Moved by Clark, seconded by Mogren that Ordinance No. B -676 be passed as read: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -677, AN ORDINANCE granting J. M. Perry & Co. the right to construct, operate and maintain a conveyor belt over and across "C" Street between the Northern Pacific Railway tracks and First Avenue North in the City of.Yakima, Washington. Mov - -1- by Clark, seconded by Mogren that Ordinance No. B -677 be passed as read: carried Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Mogren,-seconded by Sanford that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, December 11th, 1945, at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Mogren, Sanford and Clark voting aye on roll call.. C -665, A RESOLUTION of intention tol'construct new City Hall'in Yakima, Washington. r. WHEREAS the City of Yakima has recently acquired and now owns legal title to the property 11cated on the Southeast corner of North gecond.and "B" Streets in the City of Yakima, Washington, which property was purchased for the site of a new hall for the City of Yakima, Washington; and WHEREAS the construction of a new city hall at said site has bee one of'the major post war projects of the City of Yakima, which said post war era has now arrived, now, therefore, BE -IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA; That it is'its intention to proceed as rapidly as possible and at the earliest possible date to construct a new city hall on the above mentioned site, and that:said city hall be co,nstructea within the next five years,.namely, that it is the city°.'s intention to commence said construction in the year 1946.
