White Commissioner of Finance and Accounting deceased on June 10 1945. Moved by Mogren, Seconded by Clark that the regular meeting of Monday, June 4th, 1945, be approved as read: carried, Mogren,and Clark voting aye on roll call.- Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having reported the completeo of the improvement. in L.I.D. No. 589 by the contractor; said work is hereby completed and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll.for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, July 2nd, 1945, at 10 o'clock A.M: carried, Mogren and Clark voting aye on roll call: carried Mogren and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Mogren that this being the time for receiving bids to . furnish and apply roofing on the North section of the City warehouse; the, following bi were received; Yakima Hardware Company in the sum of $1025.80 and the A. B. Fosseen & 'Company in the sum of x$1018.00. The bid of A. B. Fosseen & Company being the lowest and best bid said contract was awarded to them: carried Mogren and Clark voting aye on roll call. Resolution No. 0-656; A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 1., Block. 356, Capitol Addition to'North Yakima (now. Yakima.), according to the official plat thereof now on - file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following describ ed real property situated In-Yakima County, State of Washington, to -tit: Lot 1, Block 356, Capitol Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima.), according to the official plat there- of now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, by reason of a deed therefor iesued by the Treasurer of the City of Yakima, County of Yakima, State of Washington, to said City of Yakima, on sale of said. property for de- linquent taxes, and WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of Yakima to sell said premises to.Verda Moffat, a widow, . NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That said above described premises be and they are hereby author- ized to :be sold to Verda Moffat,•a. widow, for the total sum of One Hundred Fifty and no /100 ($150.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, A. W. B -646, AN.ORDINANCE Amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. B -642 entitled "AN ORDINANCE providing for licensing and regulating the operation of certain amusement machines commonly known as 'Pinball Machines' and other devices and games for use by the public; providing penalties for the violation hereof; repealing ordinances in con- flict herewith, and fixing the effective date of this.ordinance," and declaring an emergency. Moved by Mogren, seconded. by Clark that Ordinance No. B -646 be passed as read: carried Mogren, and' Cla.rk"*voting aye' on roll-,call. Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, June 15,-1945 at 10 o'clock A. M. ADJOURNED MEETING, FRIDAY, JUNE 15, 1945 10 A.M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Mogren, and Commissioner Clark present on roll call. Moved by A4ogren, seconded by Clark that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows; Street Department $1,104.52; Sanitation Department 4$1,268.10; Cemetery x$696.00: carried, Mogren and Clark voting aye on roll call.
