Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, .April 9th, 1945, be approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows :. C. E. x$4,804.38; Street $1,818.45; Library $560.56; Cemetery $289.96;, L.I.D. $11,564'.69; Irrigation 311.48;: Water $3,,041. ; Gas Oil X536 .50: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by.White, seconded by Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as.foll.ows: Street $$1,007.62; sanitation $1,187.0 ; Cemetery $$432.00: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by White that this being the time for the hearing an Resolutio No. 0-653, providing for the construction of a pa.vi.ng in the alley on Lbts 13 to 32, Block 70, and there being insufficient protest in writing or otherwise to,said improve- ment or any part thereof, it is ordered that the ordinance creating a Local- Improvement be passed as read: Carried, Mogren, White and. Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE N®. B_637,AN- IORDINANCE.:providing for the jmprovement of the alley running - ,�- north and south in Block 70, City of Yakima, by paving the same with one course Portland cement concrete six inches in thickness; establishing a local improvement district, providing the . method of payment therefor and creating a, special fund. Moved by Clark, seconded by Mogren that Ordinance No. B -637 be passed as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded. by White that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give notice,to contractors for paving the alley in lots 13 to 32, Block 70, by the construct- ing of a one course'Portla.nd Cement concrete pavement six inch thick; said bids to be received on Monday, April 30, 1945 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -654, BEFORE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH. IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF WEST "A" STREET. A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on petition for vacation of a portion of West "A" Street. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a ;municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of a portion of West "A" Street described as follows, to -wit;- That portion of West "A" Street lying east of a. line parallel with and 80 feet easterly from the westerly line of First Avenue North and lying west of the westerly right of way line of the Northern Pacific Railway Co.'s right of way in the City of Yakima., State of Washington. EXCEPTING from said vacation a public right of way and ,public easement to construct, maintain and operate public utilities over and across the aforesaid property; situated in the City of Yakima, State of Washington; now, t.her.efore,I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CI'T'Y COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIIMIA that said petition shall be brought on for hearing and determination on Monday, the 14t day of May, 1945, at the hour of 10 :00 o'clock in the forenoon of said day, at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law.
