March 19, 1945
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Mogren, Commissioners White and
Clark present on roll call. I
Moved by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of March 12,
1945, be approved as read: carried Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the City
:Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows; Street De t. $1,078.39, Sanitation
$1,263.60; Irrigation $60.00;,Cemetery $276.00; Police $9�.46;- Water $160.00: carried,
Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call.
- Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City
clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: C.E. $4,247-09; Cemetery $55.81;
Irrigation $167.27; Cumulative Reserve for Street Purposes $257.55; Street $583.76;
Water y$2,199.87; P. R. & P. $238.41: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. 6=651, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to improve the property lying between
Division Street and West Maple Street and between Sixth Avenue South and Seventh Avenue
South., by constructing pipe sewers with the necessary wye branches, manholes, flush
tanks and water connections therefor, all of said improvement to be constructed in full
accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and
filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above des-
cribed Improvement is described as follows, to -wit,
Block 316 of Lund's and Capitol; Addition, according to the
official plat thereof recorded in the office of the Auditor of
Yakima County, Washington.
All persons who may desire to object to said. proposed improve=
ment are hereby notified.to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting
of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the .hour of 10 o'clock A. M., on Monday the 9th day of
April, 1945, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of a.11 matters,re-
lating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the
method of- payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give
due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of
acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of
notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed agains
all of the property legally and properly assessable therefore a.s'provided by laR and as
above described; and. the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Com-
mission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and
other information required by law to be by him submitted.
