Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, August 31, 1943 at nine o'clock A..M: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, AUGUST 71, 1943, 9 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Mogren and Commissioners White and Clark present on roll call Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the payrolls for the month of August, 1943 be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Dept. x$3001.35; Health Dept. $1236.14; Engineer $923.00; Fire $7468. 2; Police $4540.50; Irrigation $670.00; Library $856.55; Water $$4511.30; Cemetery 265.00• City Street $550.00• Parking Meter $175.00; F. R. & P. $1117.30; -Pe R. & P. Fund 4140.00 and Sani- tation 638.50: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the resignation of Forrest F. Herring, City Treasurer, to take effect September 1,1943 is hereby accepted: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded. by Mogren that H. Faye Simmons be appointed to the office of City Treasurer, such appointment'to take effect September 1, 1943 and to serve during the pleasure of the City Commission: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that Mary 0. Campbell be appointed to the office of Deputy City Treasurer, such appointment to take effect September 1, 1943 and to serve during the pleasure of the City Commission: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED.MEETING, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 1943, 10 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Mogren and Commissioners White and Clark present on roll- call. RESOLUTION NO. C -580., A RESOLUTION authorizing the exectuion of a Quit Claim Deed to certain property.herein described to correct an error. WHEREAS, P. W. -SWAN and MARIE SWAN, husband and wife, did here- tofore, under date of September 26, 1940, execute to the City of Yakima, a deed con- veying the following described real estate, situate in Yakima County, Washington, to- wit: The west 10 feet of the east 1115.49 feet of the north 412.5 feet of the south 438.5 feet of the east half of the east half of the east half of the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 26, Township 13 North Range 18, E. W. M. for the purpose of a public alley, and WHEREAS, said deed was executed through error, inadvertence, and mistake, and should have described the following property, situate in Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: The west 10 feet of the east half of the east half of the east half of the southeast Quarter of the northwest quarter of said Section 26, and WHEREAS, said alley is actually located on the property last above described, which was intended to be conveyed and should have been described in said deed, and WHEREAS, said P. W.'Swan and Marie Swan, husband and wife, have executed to the City of Yakima, a new deed conveying the correct property to the City of Yakima so that the City of Yakima should quit -claim said property first above de- scribed to the said P. W. Swan and Marie Swan, husband and wife. NOW, THEREFORE, -BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk of this City be, and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute a quit- claim deed to the tract of land hereinabove first described to the said P.
