Commissioners White and Clark present on roll call.. Moved by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 21st, 1943 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -572, A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing temporary transfer and loan from the Cemetery Trust Fund of the City of Yakima, to the Current Expense Fund of the City_ of Yakima., and providing for rate of interest thereon and repayment thereof'. WHEREAS, the Current Expense Fund.of the City of Yakima has be- come temporiarly depleted and.there are outstanding interest bearing warrants against the same and said Current Expense Fund is temporiarly in need of funds; and WHEREAS, the Cemetery Trust Fund of the City of Yakima. has surplus funds therein for investment and which funds are not needed at the present time by said fund, and it is desirous that said funds be invested a' interest; and - WHEREAS, the said has sources of revenue and income which the amount hereinafter authorized from is to the best interests of the City of made from said Cemetery Trust Fund, and interest on,-outstanding warrants and at Trust Fund monies at interest; Current Expense Fund of the City of Yakima., will enable it1to seasonably repay a loan in :he Cemetery Trust Fund, with interest, and it Yakima that a temporary transfer and loan be thus save the City of Yakima the payment of the same time invest a part of its Cemetery NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima, that there be and there is . herebv temporiarly loaned and transferred. by the City Treasurer from the Cemetery Trust Fund of the City of Yakima to the Current Expense Fund of said. City of Yakima, the sum of $50,000.00, and. that said transfer and loan be made forthwith, the same to bear interest at the rate of two per cent per annum from the date of such transfer and loan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by.the City Commission of the City of Yakima that said transfer and loan herein authorized, together with interest thereof, be repaid by'the Current Expense Fund as rapidly and as soon as funds accumulate in said Current Expense Fund, and. become available for that purpose. C -573, A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing temporary transfer and loan from the Bond Sinking Fund of the City of Yakima to the Current Expense Fund of the City of Yakima, and providing for rate of interest thereon and repayment thereof. WHEREAS, the.Current Expense Fund of the City of Yakima has be- come temporiarly depleted and there are outstanding interest bearing warrants against the same and said Current Expense Fund is temporiarly in need of funds; and WHEREAS, the Bond Sinking Fund of the City of Yakima has surplus funds therein for investment and whichfunds are not needed at the present time by said fund, and it is desirous that said funds be invested at interest; and WHEREAS, the said Current Expense Fund of the City of Yakima has sources of revenue and income which will enable it to seasonably repay a loan in the amount hereinafter authorized from the Bond Sinking Fund, with interest, and it Is to the best interests of the City of Yakima that a temporary transfer and loan be made from said Bond Sinking Fund, and thus save the City of Yakima the payment of in- terest on outstanding warrants, and at-the same time invest a part of its Bond Sinking Fund monies at interest; 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima that there be and there is hereby temporiarly loaned and transferred by the City Treasurer from the Bond. Sinking Fund of the City of Yakima to the Current Expense Fund of said City of Yakima, the 'sum of $23,000.00, and that said transfer'and loan be made forthwith, the same to bear interest at the rate of two per cent per annum from the date of such transfer and loan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Commission of the City of Yakima that said transfer and loan herein authorized, together with interest thereof, be repaid by the Current Expense Fund as rapidly and as soon as funds accumulate in said Current Expense Fund and become available for that purpose. C -575, that portion of South line of Pine Street. the City of Yakima, a of South First Avenue now, therefore, A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on petition to vacate First Avenue from the south line of Walnut Street to the North WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of that portion described as follows: That'portion of South First Avenue from the south line of Walnut Street to the north line of Pine Street; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That said petition shall be brought on for hearing and determina- tion on Monday, the 9th day of August, 1943, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the fore- noon on said day at the offi6e of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may. be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided ==by law.
