Moved by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, May 10, 1943 be. approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Cemetery $19.35; Sanitation $1016.69; City Street $1279.38; Park $456.39; Irrigation $$131.60: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $2875.49; City Street $2899.20; Library $413.961 Park $61.51; Cemetery $204.22; Irriggation $37.91; Water $2992.72; Cemetery Trust 1900.00; Delinquent Property Sales $60.00 Parking Meter $1340.04 and F. R. & P. $64.36: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll. call. RESOLUTION NO. C -569, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve the property on the west side of South Sixth Street between Adams Avenue and Pacific Avenue, by the construction of a Portland cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width, according to the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and, assessed for the above describ- ed. improvement is described as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 8, inclusive, in Block 119, Rainier Addition to the City of Yakima; Yakima County, Washington. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the dity of Yakima., Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 7th day of June, 1943, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determinkng the method. of pay- ment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense in connection with the construction of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be levied and assessed against all of the property legally and. properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed-to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the d.a.ta and other in- formation required by law to be by him submitted. Moved by Clark, seconded by Mogren that Resolution No. C -569 be- approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -570, WHEREAS, C. 0. Wheat and Esda A. Wheat, husband and wife, have been in poscession under deed from the former owner thereof of Lot 12, Block 148, Eastern Addition to North Yakima, (now Yakima, Washington), according to the plat ther of recorded in volume "A" of Plats, page 19, records of Yakima County, Washington, and WHEREAS, Yakima County in Yakima. County Tax Cause No. 394 caused a foreclosure to be nad against said property for delinquent taxes for the years 1922 to 1927, inclusive, ,judgment thereon against said property being in the sum of $344.19, and. . WHEREAS, Yakima County issued a certifi'ca.te of redemption No. 15 to the City of Yakima covering said property on the 4th d,-..y of November, 1928, and later by deed dated March 22, 1934, and recorded on said date, the County conveyed the above described property to the City of Yakima, which said deed is recorded in Vol. 305 of Deeds, page 561, and WHEREAS, the said C. C. Wheat an foreclosure and no knowledge of said certificate and s City of Yakima all the moneys advanced by the City to and have paid, all the local improvement assessments le have likewise paid all general tares to Yakima County, and up to and including the year 1940, and wife had no knowledge of said Id deed, and later paid to the cauire title to said premises, ied against said premises and Washington, since said date, WHEREAS, the City and County have accepted said payments and the City has no interest in said property, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to make execute and deliver to C.
