The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Mogren and Commissioners White and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by White that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
April 19th, 1943 be approved as read: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the following claims be allowed, and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $50,132.39; City Street
$125.26; Cemetery.$38.50; Water $956.52;Cemetery Trust $15.00; Cumulative Reserve
.120,000.00 and Local Improvement Guaranty $500.00: carried, Mogren, White and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -555, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE levying an admission tax on persons paying
admissions, or who are admitted free or at reduced rates to any place; fixing the
amount and, providing for the collection thereof; prescribing penalties; and declaring
an emergency ", was introduced by White and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -585 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting eye on roll
call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -585 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -585 be passed as finally read:
carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Mogren, seconded by White that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, April 30th,
1943 at nine o'clock A. M:.. carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on roll call.

Moved by White, seconded by Mogren that the payrolls for the month of April, 1943 be
allowed and the City Clerk authorized'to issue warrants as follows: Various Dept.
$2958.85; Health Dept. 41176.00 Police Dept."34743.00; Fire Dept. $7241.83; Engineer -
ing Dept. $792.39; Water Dept. i4621.90; Library $851.10; Irrigation $745.62; Cemetery
255.00; City Street $537.50; Parking Meter $175.00; F. R. & P-- $907.05; P. R: & P.
140.00; City Street Mtse. X54.79: carried, Mogren, White and Clark voting aye on
roll call. "
