The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
December 22, 1941 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $4779.56; City Street
$2031.47,'-Library $184.97• Park $27.55; Cemetery $5.67; L.I.D. Revolving $108.74;
Irrigation $76.31; Water 4664.49 and Crusher $72.00: carried, Riley, Washburn and
Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday,. December
30th,-1941 at ten o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 30, 1941, 10 A. M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash-
burn and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to serve
notice on Charles E. Steel to appear before the City Commission on Friday, January 9th,
1942 at ten o'clock A. M. to show cause why his Pawn Broker's license heretofore issued
should not be revoked by the City Commission: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark vot-
ing aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that this being the time for receiving bids for
the construction of a Fire Dept. building the following were received: Wm. McCullgch'
$5447.00;-G. E. Newenhof $449.50; J. A. Park & Son $4919.00; said bids were ordered
tabulated and the awarding of the contract deferred until a later date: carried,
Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that we do now adjourn to meet Wednesday, December
31st, 1941 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call..

ed and therefor will not be presented for payment: carried,

voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -544, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE declaring that a
public emergency exists;
providing for the expenditure of certain sums of money for various
debts of the City
of Yakima; fixing the estimated amount of such expenditures as
near as may be estimat-
ed, and declaring an emergency", was introduced by Washburn and
read by.the City Clerk.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -544 be
passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and
Clark voting aye on roll
call.
