RESOLUTION NO. C -528, BE .IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its.intention to construct a pipe sewer to serve the
property lying within the following described district:
Beginning at the intersection.of East Beech Street
with South Tenth Street; thence northwesterly and
northerly along South Tenth Street to a point 122
feet south of the south line of Riverside Street;
thence easterly and parallel with said south line
to the alley lying . east of South Tenth Street;
thence southerly along said alley to_,a point 179
feet south of the south line of Riverside Street;
thence easterly and parallel with said south line
to Fair Avenue; thence southerly along Fair Avenue
to East Beech Street; thence westerly, along East
Beech Street to the point of beginning;
said improvement to consist of the necessary wye branches, manholes,, flush tank and
water connection therefor, and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and
specifications to. be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at,a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall,. in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 27th day
of October, 1941, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters
related to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the
method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice
of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The labor for this project shall be furnished by the Work Projects
Administration, and the balance of the cost and expense of said improvement shall be
borne by and assessed against all of the property legally,and properly.assessable there-
for, as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed
to submit to the City Commission at or prior,to the date fixed herein for said hearing,
all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 6th day
of October, 1941.

ORDINANCE NO. B -533, entitled,. "AN ORDINANCE relating to animals or fowls at large, or
found, in the City of Yakima, contrary to any ordinance of the City of Yakima; providing
for the taking up, impounding, keeping,, and disposition of such animals or fowls, fixing
the charges therefor and the disposition of money received in connection therewith; pro -
viding,for a.City Pound and the maintenance thereof by the Yakima County Humane Society,
appointing a Poundmaster under Ordinance No. A -269 as amended by Ordinance No. B -327,
and providing for payment and compensation to the said society, and declaring an emer-
gency ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk.

viding revenue thr6ugh an application fee, a license fee, and a penalty for violation;'
repealing Ordinance. No. B"37 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima, and all other
ordinances in conflict herewith; and delcaring an emergency," and declaring.,an emergency',

The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -529, A RESOLUTION authorizing the purchase of a one and one -half Ton
International Truck for the Sanitation Departmene of the City of Yakima, and declaring
an emergency.
WHEREAS, certain trucks now used by the Sanitation Department of
the City of Yakima in the collection of garbage are in immediate need of repairs; and
WHEREAS the City of Yakima has- no other trucks available to re-
place said garbage trucks while being repaired and it is therefore necessary that a
new truck be purchased in order to permit the Sanitation Department of the City of Yaki-
ma to properly function and to adequately service the health needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that said truck be purchased immediately
and an emergency therefore exists;
.NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'T RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Yakima that the City of Yakima is in immediate need of a one and one -hald Ton Truck
for its Sanitation Department, and that an emergency does.exist; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Yakima purchase immediate-
ly a one and one -half Tone International truck for use in its Sanitation Department for
the collection of garbage in the City of Yakima.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 11th day
of October, 1941.

the amount of the estimated expenditures of the City of- Yakima for the ensuing year,
