The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioner Washburn present
on roll call, Commissioner Clark absent..
Moved by Rile seconded 'by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
August 18, 191 and adjourned meeting_ thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley and
Washburn voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following wrolls be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Crusher 6.52; Park $814.53; City
Street $1186.59; Sanitation $860.55; Cemetery $462.00 and Cemetery.Care $24 -8,00: carried,
Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark absent.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by.Riley.that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $121.31; City Street
$139.09; Water 2034.78 and Water Deposit $387.00: carried, Riley and Washburn voting
aye on roll call, Clark absent.
Moved by.Washbu n, seconded by Riley that the claim of the Collector of Internal Revenue
in the sum of $ 647.27, heretofore filed against the Park Fund for the Federal tax on
swimming pool fees for the year 1940, be denied:- carried, Riley and Washburn voting
aye on roll call, Clark absent.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that this being the time for-the hearing on the
assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 572, and there being.no objections in writing, or other-
wise, to said assessment roll or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance
confirming said assessment roll and every.part thereof,. be passed as finally read: car-
ried,. Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B-527,. entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming. the assessment roll covering
Local Improvement District No. 572, as created and established by_Ordinance No. B -501
of the ordinances of the City of•Yakima ", was introduced by Washburn.and read by the
City Clerk.
Moved by Riley,, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -527 be passed to its second
reading and rea by title only: -carried, Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call,
Clark absent.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -527, be passed to its third
reading and rea in full: carried, Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark
absent.

RESOLUTION NO. � -524, A RESOLUTION authorizing the execution of an agreement whereby
the City of Yak ma will relinquish its lease on the Yakima County Airport and agree to
construct a pip line to furnish domestic water to the Airport.
WHEREAS, there is a possibility of an Army Air Base being located
upon the Yakima County Airport, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary if this occurs that the City of Yakima
relinquish its ease to said Yakima County Airport, and
WHEREAS,.the construction of such Army Air Base will require the
furnishing of d mestic water to said Airport,'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION that the
Mayor and City lerk be authorized to enter into an agreement whereby.the City of Yakima
agrees upon the acceptance by the Army of the proposition to establish an airbase on
the Yakima Coun y Airport,. that said City will relinquish without expense to the Govern-
ment said lease property to Yakima County and said City.of Yakima will further agree
to construct a 2 -inch pipe line to deliver water to said airport under a pressure of
not less than 5 pounds and in a quantity not less than one million gallons per day to
said airport. lso all municipal recreational facilities_ shall be made available to
officers and en isted personnel. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign
such an agreement.

providing for the licensing thereof; regulating- bicycle_ agencies; providing penalty
for the violation thereof;, and declaring an.emergency.", was introduced by Riley and
