Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 29, 1941 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried; Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark absent. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following payroll be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Irrigation $116.60: carried, Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -520, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install- ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Im- provement District No. 565, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attache for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. 520 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley;arid Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark absent. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that this being the time for receiving bids for a four door sedan for the Police Dept. and there being but one bid received for said car; it is ordered that the Weber - Chevrolet Company be awarded said bid in the sum of $942.50, less trade in value on Ford Police Car No. 7, in the sum of $500.00 or a balance of $442.50: carried, Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark absent. RFSOLUTION NO. C -521, A RESOLUTION authorizing the execution of a quit claim deed aban- doning easement on county property. WHEREAS) in the construction of the new county court house and jail it has become necessary for the County of Yakima to secure from the City of Yakima a quit claim 'deed, auit claiming all interest of the City of Yakima in and to certain premises hereinafter described., the City's interest therein being by way of an easement Mery -(1 by Riley, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -521 be passed as finally read:. carried, Riley and Washburn voting aye on roll call, Clark absent. WHEREAS) in the construction of the new county court house and jail it has become necessary for the County of Yakima to secure from the City of Yakima a quit claim 'deed, auit claiming all interest of the City of Yakima in and to certain premises hereinafter described., the City's interest therein being by way of an easement J8 .� which has neverlbeen used; and WHEREAS, the County of Yakima., as consideration for the erecution of said quit claim deed, is conveying to the City of Yakima, a new right of way and public alley: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that for and in consideration. of the conveyan e from the County of Yakima to the City of Yakima for.the uses and pur- poses of a public alley.of the following described premises, to -wit: A portion of lots 22, 23 and 24 of Block 29, Town of North Yakima, now Yakima, Washington, and, vacated alley more particularly described as follows, to -wit: A strip of land 15 feet wide, the side boundaries of which are parallel to and equidistant from the fol- lowing described center line: Beginning at a point on the South line of Lot 24 ex- tended easterly 7.5 feet; thence northerly pa.rallel to and 7.5 feet from the easterly line of said Lot 24, 17.5 feet; thence to the left on the arc of a curve of 32.5 feet radius and central a.ngl.e 90° 51.05 feet to a point of tangency on the line between Lots 22 and 23; thence �,resterly along said line 115 feet to the westerly line of said Block 29.and the boundaries of the extremities of said strip are the South line of Lot 24 extended easterly and the West line of said Rlock 29; The-City of Yakima shall execute in favor of the County of Yakima, a quit claim deed a_?handoning an easement on the following described premises, to- wit: The strip of land on the Northerly half of Block No. 29 in the City of Yakima, said strip of land be- ing 20 feet in width, that is to say ten feet in width on each side of the center line, described as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the center line of the-alley running north and south through said block with the northerly line of lots eight and twenty five in said block extended; running thence northeasterly at an angle of 450 from the center line of said alley one hundred four (104) feet to a point. seventy five (75) feet and ten (10) inches westerly at right angles from the westerly line of Second Street; thence northerly and parallel with Second Street ninety six (96) feet; thence northwesterly at an angle .of 450 from the last mentioned line about forty four (44) feet to the southerly line of.
