Moved by Riley,,seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 7, 1941 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn,. seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Irrigation $107.90; City Street $1292.61; Crusher $444.20; Sanitation $805.99; Cemetery $$202.50; Cemetery Care $436.00; Park $898.10; City Street Mtse. $83.82: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call._ Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that this being the time for receiving bids for the purchase of a ladder truck for the Fire Dept. the following were received: Seagrave Corp. by Howard- Cooper Corp. 100 ft. Ladder Truck $24,293.50, terms: 2% Discount for cash, 0 days, plus 3% Sales Tax; American LaFrance Foamite Corp. on 100 ft. Ladder Truck $24,300.00, less 2% discount, 30 days; on an 85 ft. Ladder Truck $$23,900.00, less 2% discount, 30 days; Peter Prisch & Sons & Company 100 ft. Ladder Truck g$21,610.00, Plus 3% Sales Tax, 3� discount for cash after ten days delivery; said bids were taken under advisement to be reported on at a later date: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved. by Clark, seconded by Riley that this being the time for receiving bids for ma- terial for fencing for the City Reservoir, the following were received: Cyclone Fence Division of American Steel Corp. $3564.65; Fosseen's, Inc., $4200.00; said bids being considered too high, both were rejected: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll for Local Improvement District No. 570, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -515, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 570, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -477 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -515 be passed to -its second reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -515 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -515 be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -516 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved. by Clark, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -516 be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY, JULY 17, 1941, 10 A. M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash- burn and Clark present on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Riley that the bid of Peter Pirsch & Sons Company for a 100 ft. Aerial Ladder'Truck in the sum of $21,610.00 plus 3% Sales Tax and 2% discount for cash in ten days after delivery, be accepted as the lowest and best bid and the Mayor and City Clerk'are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with said Peter Pirsch & Sons Company for said equipment: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
