Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the-.regular meeting of Monday, June 30, 1941 be approved as read: carried, Washburri•-ancii:Clark".voting aye on roll call, Riley absent. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as $108.35; City Street Project #29 $949.02: roll call, Riley absent. the following payrolls be allowed and the follows: Water Dept. $592.75; Irrigation carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for receiving bids for material for the Water Dept., the following were received: Washington Corrugated Cul- vert Company $1061.87; Yakima Cement Products, Inc., $1090.00; Union Concrete Pipe Co., $1120.00. The bid of the Washington Corrugated Culvert Company in the sum of $1061.87 being the lowest and best bid, the contract was awarded to said firm: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Riley absent. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu- tion No. C -514, providing for the vacation of a portion of Block 29, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said vacation proceedings or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance vacating said property and every part thereof be passed as finally read: Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Riley absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -514, entitled, "AN'ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a part of alley in Block 29, City of North Yakima ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -514 be passed as finally read: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Riley absent. RESOLUTION NO. 0 -519, A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on petition to vacate as a street, a triangular strip of land lying between Moxee Avenue and Yakima Avenue. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation as a street of the following described property situated in Yakima, Yakima County, State of Washington: That portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Town- ship 13 North, Range 19 E.W.M., lying be- tween the northerly line of Moxee Avenue and the southerly line of East Yakima Avenue and west of a line beginning 693 feet north and 904 feet west of the southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, running thence North 360 45' west a distance of 52.03 feet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That said petition shall be brought.,on for hearing and determination on Monday, the 4th day of August, 1941, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon on said day at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law. C -520, A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on petition for vacation of alley lying South of and adjacent to Block 2, Summitview Second Addition to the City of Yakima. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of alley described as follows, to -wit: That certain alley lying South of and ad- jacent to Block 2 of Summitview Second Addition to the City of Yakima; EXCEPTING from said vacation a public right of way and public easement to construct, maintain and operate public utilities over and across the aforesaid property; situated in the City of Yakima, State of Washington; now therefor; Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -514 be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Bt.XXNY� Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Riley absent. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -514 be passed to its third reading and read in full: carried, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call, Riley absent.
