Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 9, 1941 be approved as read: carried, Riley,'Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by `Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: City Street Dept. $442.43; Irriga- tion $103.95; Parks x$499.35; Sanitation $790.00; Crusher $$524.25; City Street Mtse. $1066.50; Cemetery $246.00 and Cemetery Care $394.00: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $2&73.30; City Street $2197.21; Library $351.73 Park g$636.93; Cemetery 1205.37; Fixed Estimate $26.46; L.I. R. & P. $16.94: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. 0-514, A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on petition for vacation of alley. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of alley describ- ed as follows, to -wit: That portion of Block 29 in the city of North Yakima, Washington, more particularly described as follows, to -wit: Being 40 feet square and being 20 feet in width on either side of the center line of the alley in Block 29, town of North Yakima, and extending northerly forty feet from the northerl line of lots eight (9) and twenty - five (25� in said Block 29; situated in the City of Yakima, State of Washington; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF the City of Yakima: That said petition shall be brought on for hearing and determina- tion on Monday, the 7th clay of July, 1941, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon on said. day, at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law. RESOLUTION NO. 0-515, WHEREAS, the City of Yakima did heretofore, by Resolution No. 0-503, duly adopted by the City Commission of said City, provide for the performance of certain public work more particularly referred to and described in said resolution; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that said work be commenced immediately, and there is not sufficient time to publish the notice of intention to perform such work fifteen days before the time said work is commenced; NOW, THEREFORE, BE TI RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, that an emergency is therefore hereby declared to exist, and it is hereby order- ed that the notice of intention to perform the aforementioned public work be published within seven days after the commencement of said work, as required by law. C -516, A RESOLUTION authorizing the City_ of Yakima to execute lease with Northern Pacific Railway Company, leasing certain property for purpose of bicycle park- ing lot. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima desires to secure premises for the 1 1 June 16. 1941 purpose of maintaining a bicycle parking, lot. in order to provide a place for the parking of bicyles off of the streets of the City of Yakima; and WHEREAS, the Northern Pacific Railway Company, a Wisconsin corpora tion, is willing to lease certain premises hereinafter more particularly described, for a bicycle parking lot, in accordance with the terms and provisions of that certain lease hereto attached; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA as follows: 1. That the City of Yakima do lease from the Northern Pacific Railway Company, a Wisconsin corporation, the following described premises, to -wit: That portion of Lot 1 and that portion of the northwesterly 48 feet of Lot 2 in Block "B" in the Railway Company's subdivision of its right of way at said station, lying between two lines parallel with and distant respec- tively 50 feet and 100 feet northeasterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of main track as now constructed; (49oo sq. ft.) for the purpose of maintaining thereon a bicycle parking lot, according to the terms and provisions of that certain indenture of written lease hereto attached, and the pro- per officers of the City of Yakima be and they are hereby authorized to execute on be- half. of the City of Yakima, said indenture of lease in the form hereto attached. C -517, A RESOLUTION authorizing the City of Yakima to execute lease with Arthur S. Coffin, leasing certain property for the purpose of bicycle parking lot. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima desires to secure premises for the purpose of maintaining a bicycle parking lot, in order to provide a place for the park - ing.of bicycles off of the streets of the City of Yakima; and WHEREAS, ARTHUR S. COFFIN, is willing to lease certain premises hereinafter more particularly described, for a bicycle parking lot, in accordance with the terms and provisions of.that certain lease hereto attached; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, as follows: That the City of Yakima do lease from the said ARTHUR S. COFFIN, the following described premises, to -wit: The West 40 Block 91 of ding to the on file and of the Audi ington; feet of Lots 13 and 14 of the City of Yakima, accor- .official plat thereof now of record in the office for of Yakima County, Wash- for the purpose of maintaining thereon a bicycle narking lot, according to the terms and provisions of that certain indenture of written lease hereto attached, and the prope officers of the City of Yakima be, and they are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Yakima, said indenture of lease in the form hereto attached.
