The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
April 28th, 1941 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Local Improvement District Revolvin
1153.75; Irrigation $101.7�j ; Tennis Court $55..91; Garbage Disposal $ 47.69; Cemetery
216.00; Cemetery Care X504.00; Park $450.69; Park $450..69; Crusher 616.52; City Street
957-95: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that on account of the resignation of E. M. Hois-
ington as Cemetery Sexton, John A. Webber is hereby appointed'as such Cemetery Sexton,
said appointment to take effect March. 1,"1941 and to serve until his successor has
been duly appointed and.qualified: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that on account of the resignation of E. A. Jensen
as Plumbing Inspector, Edward Berghoff is hereby appointed as Plumbing Inspector, said
appointment to take effect May 1, 1941 and to serve until his successor has been duly
appointed and qualified: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Riley, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on Reso-
lution No. C -510 providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on Stewart, Cornell
and other streets in the City of Yakima, and there being no objections in writing or
otherwise to said improvement or any part thereof; it is ordered that the Ordinance
creating a Local Improvement District be passed as finally read: carried, Riley, Wash-
burn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -508, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property
in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of concrete curbs and gutters;
establishing a local improvement district; providing for the method of payment there-
for; and creating a special fund ", was introduced by Riley and read by the City.Clerk.
MovPr9 by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -508 be passed to.its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -509 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -509 be passed as finally
read.: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
