Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 21st, 1941 be approved as read: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -503, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending subsection (b) of Section 2, sub- section (b) of Section 10, and subsection (b) of Section 15, of Ordinance No. B -293, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE regulating and restricting the location of traces and industri regulating and limiting the use of buildings and premises; and the height and size of buildings; providing for yards,. courts and other open spaces; establishing districts for said purposes, and providing for a board of adjustment, and repealing Ordinances Nos. B -22, B -35, B -43, B -51, B -71, B -126, B -147 and B- 172." BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That subsection (b) of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 13-293, passed and approved by the'City Commission on the 28th day.of March, 1938, en- titled as set forth in the caption hereof, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 10 (b) The boundaries of the aforesaid districts are laid out and shown upon map designated "Use Map ", filed in the office of the City Clerk, being file No. D- 1160 -3, in said office, and said map, the property, districts, boundaries and symbols and legends shown thereon, are hereby declared to be a part of this ordinance." Section 2. That subsection (b) of Section 10 of said Ordinance No. B -293, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 11 (b) The boundaries of the aforesaid. dis- tricts are laid out and shown uvon the map designated "Height and Area Map ", filed in the office of the City Clerk, being File No. D- 1161_ -3, in said office; and. said map and all the notations, references and other things shown thereon, are hereby declared to be, and shall be,_ a part of this ordinance." Section 3. That subsection (b) of Section 15 of said Ordinance No. B -293 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: " (b) The boundaries of the aforesaid dis- tricts are laid out and shown upon the map designated. "Height and Area Map ", filed in the office of the City Clerk, being File No. D- 1161 -3, in said office; and said. map, and all the property, districts, boundaries, symbols and legends shown thereon are hereby declared to be and shall be a part of this ordinance." ORDINANCE NO. B -504, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 571, as created and established by Ordinance No. B -494 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Washburn and read by the City Clerk. The City Commission met 'oursuant to adjournment, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Wash - burn-and Clark present on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -513, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Yakima that the Director of Highways paint the traffic line and parallel parking lines along the routes of PSH 3 and 5 within the corporate limits of the City of Yakima, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE30LVED.that the City of Yakima does here- by acknowledge that it will not satisfactorily accomplish and will delay and be unable to perform said traffic line painting on such city streets and waives notice of the Director of Highways thereof;. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Highways is request- ed and permitted to perform said traffic and parallel line painting to the amount of Four Hundred ($400.00) dollars, an amount not in excess of the amount of money now credited or reasonably anticipated to accrue to the City of Yakima in the motor vehicle fund during,the next fiscal year, such maintenance cost to be charged against the amount so credited, or to be credited; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon statement of the cost of such traffic and parallel line painting and nournal voucher therefor, approved by the City of Yakima, for all labor, equipment, materials, supplies and engineer ling, the State Auditor is authorized and directed to reserve and credit to the Department of Highways in payment for such line painting any funds credited or to be credited to the City of Yakima in the motor vehicle fund not to exceed the above specified sum; all in accor- dance with the provisions of Chapter 187, Session Laws of 1937• PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this 28th day of April, 1941. B -505, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. B -207 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for the licensing of vending machines, pin ball games and games of skill; providing penalties for the biolation thereof; repealing Ordinances No. B -111 and B -202 and any and all other ordinances amendatory to said Ordinance No. B -111, and declaring an emergency," by adding a new classification thereto, known as "Class E", describing slot machines, and otherwise amending said ordinance to regulate and license the operation and operators of such machines; and declaring an emergency," was intro- duced by Riley and read by the City Clerk.
