April 21, 1941
The City Commission met in regular session. Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved. by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
April 14th, 1941 and.adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting.aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Crusher Dept. $689.79.; Sanitation
$734.50; Cemetery $216.00; Cemetery Care $571.00;..Park $414.00; City,..Street $1257.07:

Moved by Washburn, seconded by Riley that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to
approve the lease entered into between Yakima County and the Civil Aeronautics Adminis-
tration for Range Station Building at the Municipal Airport dated April 21, 1941:
carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -511, A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on petition to vacate
a portion of "C" Street between Sixth Avenue and Pierce Avenue.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of
the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, pray ng.for the vacation of a portion of
"C" Street between Sixth Avenue and Pierce Avenue described as follows, to -wit:
now, therefore,
(a) Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 8,
Block 308 of Ker's Addition to Yakima; thence north-
westerly along the west line of Sixth Avenue North,
a distance of 6.16 feet; thence westerly parallel
with the center line of Lincoln Avenue a distance
of 147.3 feet; thence southeasterly and parallel
with the center line of Sixth Avenue North a dis-
tance of 51.96 feet to the northwest corner of said
Lot 9; thence northeasterly 140 feet to beginning.
(b) Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 9,
Block 308 of Ker's Addition to Yakima; thence north-
westerly along the west line of the alley in said
Block 309 extended, a distance of 58.46 feet; thence
westerly and parallel with the center line of Lincoln
Avenue a distance of 7.04 feet to the easterly line
of Pierce Avenue; thence southerly along said easterly
line 83.9 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 9;
thence northeasterly a distance of 26.9 feet to
beginning;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That said petition be brought on for hearing and determination
on Monday, the 12th day of May, 1941,, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon on
said day, at the office of the City Commission of the City, of Yakima at the City Hall,
in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard,
and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY'COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 21st
day of April, 1941.

RESOLUTION NO. 0-512, A RESOLUTION authorizing the expenditure of an additional sum of
money for the improvement of certain streets in the City of Yakima:
WHEREAS, due to an increase in the cost of patching, the total
cost of City Street Project No. 25 amounted to $7,499.10, instead of $5.,574.42 as shown
in Resolution No. C -463.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the expenditure of an additional sum of $1,923.68 be and
the same is hereby authorized under the provisions of Chapter 197 of the Laws of 1937•
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON,
this 21st day of April, 1941.

ORDINANCE NO. B -502,, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE naming and renaming certain streets in
the City of Yakima, Washington, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict therewith ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by. Washburn, seconded by Riley that Ordinance No. B -502 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only.: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
