ThP City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
April 7th, 1941 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Riley,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.

Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Current Expense $2,626.90; City Street

Estimate $250..16; L.I.D. Revolving_$ 13.55,;, L.I.D's $2.47; Irrigation $174.75; Water
$4427.29; Delinquent Property.Sales $191.00; Crusher $2776.14; P. R. & P. $71.26; Tennis
Court $85.29; L.I.D. Guaranty $2,000.00 and F. R. & P $4,,861.10 carried, Ril'ey,:Wash-
burn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by,Ril.ey., seconded by Washburn that the following payrolls be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: L.I.D. Revolving $413.55; Irriga-
tion $174.75 and Water $831.99: carried, Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.Moved by Clark,. seconded by Washburn that bids heretofore received for the purchase
of two new cars for the Health and Fire Departments respectively,. be awarded as follows:
Bell -Wyman Company for a Plymouth Sedan in the sum of $1004.25, . less trade in of
Ford car at $265.00 or a total of $739.25;
Hassett Motor Company for a Desoto Sedan at $1004.25, less trade in for 1935 De-
Soto Sedan of $270.00 or a total of $739.25:

RESOLUTION NO. C -509, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of the following described pro -
perty:
Beginning south 240 18' east 367.42 feet from the intersection
of the west line of South Second Street with the south line
of Pacific Avenue; thence southwesterly at right angles 140
feet; thence south 240 18' east 74.9 feet; thence south 130 10'
east 25.6 feet; thence north 650 42' east to west line of South
Second Street; thence north 240 18' west 100 feet to beginning;
said property being located in the Northeast 1/4 of the North-
west 1/4 of Section 30, Township 13. North, Range 19, E. W. M.
(City Tract 220 H & I)
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following describ-
ed real property situated in the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 30, Town-
ship 13 North, Range 19, E. W. M., Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit:
Beginning south 240 18' east 367.42 feet from the inter-

sum of Sixteen Hundred Nine and 661100 ($1609.66) Dollars, and the Mayor, E. B. Riley,
is hereby authorized to execute a deed'to said premises, and the City Clerk, Pearl
Benjamin, is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the
said City of Yakima.

RESOLUTION NO. C -510, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to improve the following.streets by the

The north side of Stewart Street from the west
line of Blackburn's Half Acre Tracts to Cornell
Avenue, both sides of Eighth Avenue South from
Stewart Street to the north line of South Eighth
Avenue Addition and the west side of Cornell Ave-
nue from Stewart Street to the north line of Black -
burn's- Half Acre Tracts;
the district to be assessed being described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Cornell Avenue and
Stewart Street; thence northerly along Cornell Ave-
nue to the north line of Blackburn's Half Acre Tracts;
thence westerly along said north line to the north
west corner of Lot 1 of said tracts; thence southerly
along.the west line of said Lot 1 to Stewart Street;
thence easterly along Stewart Street to the point of
beginning;
said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications
to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvements
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office -in the'City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday,, the 5th day'of May,
1941, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters related to
said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay-
ment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear-
ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The labor and a portion of the materials for this improvement
are to be furnished -by the Work Project's Administration, and the balance of the cost
and expense, including engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices
and all other expenses incident thereto shall be levied-and assessed against all of
the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law, and as above
described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission,
at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other infor-
mation required by law to be by him submitted.
