ThP City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley and Commissioners Washburn and
Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants on the following funds: Current Expense $279.02;
City Street $3238.74; Library $662.34; Park $36.15; Cemetery $29.94; Cemetery Care
$4.96; Fixed Estimate $450.21; L.I.D. Revolving $152.55; Irrigation $1232.52; Water
$2931.75; Bond Sinking $3.o4; Crusher $1143.65; P. R. & P. $4.00 and L.I.D. Guaranty
$300.00: carried, Riley, Washburn and dlark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION INTO. C -497, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to construct a dual irrigation and do-
mestic water system to serve the following described district:
Beginning at the intersection of Cornell Avenue
and Stewart Street, thence northerly along Cor-
nell Avenue to the north line of Blackburn's Half
Acre Tracts, thence westerly along said north
line to the northwest corner of Lot 1 of said -
tracts; thence southerly along the west line of
said Lot 1 to Stewart Street, thence easterly
along Stewart Street to the point of beginning;
said improvement to consist of the construction of the necessary mains, laterals, ser-
vice connections and other appurtenances for the purpose of delivering irrigation water,
to all lots and tracts of land within the above described district, and also, the con-
struction of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for
the purpose of supplying domestic water to Lot 1 of Blackburn's Half Acre Tracts and
Lots 1 to 12, inclusive, of the South Eighth Avenue Addition; all work to be done ac-
cording to the palns and specifications furnished by the City Engineer and filed with
the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M., on Monday, the 7th day of Aptil,
1941, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters related to
said proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of
payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear-
ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The labor for this project is to be furnished by the Works Pro -
jects' Administration, and. the balance of the cost and expense incident thereto shall .
be levied and assessed against the property included in the district above described,
and legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law, and the City Engineer
is hereby idrected to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed here-
in for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by lair to be by
him submitted.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 17th
day of March, 1941,

ORDINANCE NO. B -499, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE relating to the use of vehicles on city
streets; providing for the vehicle equipment inspection thereof; prohibiting the use
of uninspected, defective or rejected vehicles; declaring certain acts to be unlawful;
providing for certain powers and duties; defining terms and offenses, and amending
Ordinance No. B -131, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic, tra-
vel and transportation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the
public; prescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto;
defining offenses; providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned
with or relating to the subject matter of this ordinance, and declaring an emergency ";
and declaring an emergency," was introduced by Riley and read by the City Clerk.

ORDINANCE NO. B -500, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of install-
ments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local
Improvement District No. 557, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons at-
tached, for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Clark and
read by the City Clerk.

call.
