The City Commission met-in regular session, Mayor Dudley-and. Commissi )ners Hedges and Coonse)
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Dudley,seconded by Hedges, that the,:Minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
December 24th,1926, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read.;carried.,Dud.ley,Hed.ges
and. Coonse voting aye on roll-call.
Moved by Dudley,second.ed by Coonse, that this being the time set for receiving bids for
hauling garbage for the year 1927; there being no bids received and it being deemed.necessa
to alter former specifications, it is ordered that new specifications be prepared and. the
City Clerk is hereby authorized to give further notice to contractors by publication, the
date of receiving bids to be received at a later date to be fixed by the City Commission;
carried, DudleysHedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that the report of the. City Engineer in the matter of
contracts for material and. work for Schedule "A" of the Municipal Water System be received
and filed with the City Clerk and .that contracts be awarded according to said report which
reads as follows:
To the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington:
Gentlemen:
In the matter of contracts for materials and work upon Schedule A of the Municipal
Water System I hereby recommend as follows:
(1) That contract for the construction work upon Schedule A be awarded to the
Olympic Construction Company at the unit prices bid for laying 16 inch sand. cast pipe and.
12 inch and. 8 inch mono!-cast pipe, .in the total sum of :20,481.40.'
(2) That contract for furnishing pipe be awarded to the American Cast Iron Pipe
Company at the unit prices bid for furnishing 16 inch Class C sand cast pipe and 12 inch
and. 8 inch Class 150 mono -cast pipe, in the total sure of $55,762.94.
(3) That contract for furnishing gate valves be awarded to Pacific Water Works
Supply Co., for all valves as listed for the total sum of $4,498.00.
(4) That contract for furnishing cast iron valve boxes and cast iron pipe
fittings be awarded to the Yakima Hardware Company at the unit prices listed in their pro-
posal, in the total sum of $3,087.60.

according to the recommendations of the City Engineer and the Mayor and..City.Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute such contracts on behalf of the City of Yakima;carried,Dudley,

Fire Hose Company; Yakima Hardware Company;Northwestern Fire Apparatus Company; American
Rubber Manufacturing Company and the B.F.Good,rich Rubber Company be accepted and date for
awarding contract postponed to Tuesday,December. 28th,1926,, at 9 o'clock A.M. carried.,Dud.ley,
Hedges-and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded Dudley, that the bond. of the Cascade Pine and Flume Company,
contractors, in the sure of 241,061:.26 four constructing Schedule "C" of the Municipal
Water System is hereby approved and placed. on file with the City C1erk;carried,Dlidley,
Hedges and. Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved b Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that the bond. of McHugh & Coluccio,contractors, in the
sum of 82,164.70 for constructing Schedule "B" of the Municipal Water System.is hereby
accepted and approved and placed on file with the City Clerk;carried,Dudley.,Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved. b Coonse,seconded by Dudley, that the bond of McHugh & Coluccio,con.tractors, in the
sum of- y448, 708.00 for constructing Schedule "E" of the Municipal Water System is hereby
accepted and approved and placed on file with the City Clerk;carried,Dud.ley.,Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Hedges, seconded by Dudley, that the following claims be allowed and.. the City Cler
authorized to issue warrants therefor;carried,Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll
call.

Hose at the sum of $1.15 per foot, with a 2% discount of paid..within 30 days, from the
American Rubber Manufacturing Company; carried.,Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Coonse, seconded by Hedges, that the application of E.T.Marshall,�Proprietor of
the Seattle Poultry and Livestock Company for permission to keep' and load-hogs in the City
of Yakima is hereby denied;carried,Dudley,Hedges and .Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Dudley,seconded by Hedges, that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, December 31st,
1926, at 9 o'clock A.M. carried,Dud.ley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
