The City Commission-met in.regular session,Mayor Dudley and Commissioners Hedges and. Traub
voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Dudley,seconded. by Hedges, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday
November 22nd.:1926,. and. adjourned. meeting thereof be approved. as read; carried,Dudley,
Hed.ge.s and Traub voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO.B- 101OWHE.REAS, it is necessary to im-prove the 1dunic ipal ,later. Sys ,em of the
City oaf Yakima, Washington, by the construction and c crnpletion of the main supply pipe line,
reservoir, main. distribution pipe line and certain water mains,• together with all parts
and. appmrtenances thereof, and
IMEREAS, it is necessary that_sa.i.d work be d.one-and_inat- e-r_ial be furnished for the
same, and. -
VVI-1 REAS, the 2nd day of Decembe.r,1926, was the day set ty the City Commission to
receive sealed proposals for the furnishing of materials. and doing of the work necessary
for said pipe line, reservoir and distribution system, and
Wit REAS, the City Commission deems it advisable not to receive bids on said date, but
to receive them on the 13th day of Decer:ber,1926;

statttes of the State of Washington and the ordinances of the City of Yakima,Tashington, the
sealed. proposals .w.i.11 be .r_e_c.eive:d .up--to the ho.ur of 10 o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 13th day
of December, - 1.92-6., -by the- -Gi_ty Commi_s_sion at i.ts offices in the City Office Building, •No.27

all the work necessary for the construction and. completion of the main supply.line, reservoi
main distribution pipe lines and certain water mains, together with all parts and apputen-
ances thereof, for the improvement-of-the tree Municipal. Mater System of said City of Yakima, all
.as shown, --set' forth, described -and - specified in the - maps, prof iles, plans, detailed draw -ings
-and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and. now on file in the office of
the City Clerk, and. which said map.s,profiles.,plams, detailed. drawings and, specifications
are hereby referred. to and made a. part of this resolut.i-on... - .
BE IT FURTrFR RESOLVED: That .the not- i.c.e.. sha11 specify. that the .plans therefor and. the
items the_re.of• are divided and. segregated into schedules ,covering separate.poIrtions of the
work to be dBne. and. that each bidder may submit a proposal upon the work and. materials t
therefor- included. in any one or more schedule and that the. City -rese -rues the right to
award contracts covering each schedule .s.eparately o-r to award contract or contracts for one
or more schedules, and. to reject the proposals-covering the remaining schedules, and. that
the City reserves the further right to eliminate from any schedule one or more of the sever:
items as listed in the proposal and. to award a contract for the renainde.r of the schedule.
BE IT FURTT7,,R R!!,SOLV,,D: That each proposal for the whole or any part of materials and
work required for this improvement must be made upon the proposal blank furnished. by the
City Engineer and shall be enclosed in a spec -ial envelope and filed with the City Clerk
not later than the hour hereinabove- ment-i.oned. - _ --
Each ..pro.posal must be accompanied..wLt.h _ c ash, or. a bank d.raft, certificate of deposit, or
certified. check, upon some solvent bank in an amount -not _less than five (5%) per cent of the
total amount- of the proposal, which amount shall be forfeit.e.d to the City in the event that
the proposal covered thereby is accep;te.d by- the City, and the bidder shall .neglect or . refuse
to eater into a contract .with the .City.-and give bond with approved sureties for the perform-
ance of the work and the furnishing of -the materials upon which such proposal is based and
in accordance with the maps,. profiles,plans,-de.tailed drawings and specifications therefor,
in case a c- ontra.ct _is awarded to him.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: ._That a full copy of all maps, prof i1es, plans °,detailed drawings
and specifications for this improvement can be obtained from the City Engi.n_eer upon deposit
of the sun of Twenty -Five ($25.00) Dollars, which stun will be refunded upon the return of
all drawings and specifications in good condition if accompanied by the proposal, and
BE IT FURTHER nSOLVED: That the City may reject any and all proposals.

Moved by Traub, seconded by Hedges, that the City Clerk give notice to contractors by
publication as required by law for furnishing all material and doing all work necessary for
constructing and completing th.e.main supply line, reservoir,etc., more particularly set
forth in Resolution No -B -1010; said. bids to be received on Monday, December 13th,1926, at
10 o'clock A.M. instead. of December 2nd,1926, as previously advertised.;carried.,TDudle3r;.

Mo ve d by Hedges, seconded by Traub, that this, being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in Local Improvement District No.424, for constructing a sewer in the'
alley in Blocks 29 and 30 and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said
assessment roll or any part thereof, it is ordered. that the ordinance confirming said roll
and every part thereof be passed as finally read; carried,Dudley,Hedges and Tratib voting
aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO.A -1017 , entitled: "An Ordinance confirming the Assessment Roll covering Local
Improvement District No-424, ascereated and. established. by Ordinance No.A -993 of the
Ordinances of the City of Yakima. ", was introduced by Traub and read by the City Clerk.
