ber lst,1926, be approved as read;carried,Dud.ley,Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Hedges, seconded by Traub, that.the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the. improvement in Local Improvement District No.424-, by the contractor, R.A.Geary, in
the sum of $1986.60, said work is hereby-accepted,-and the City Engineer authorized to
prepare an assessment roll for said. district and the City Clerk authorized to give notice
of hearing on said roll for Monday, November 29th,1926., at 9 o'clock-A.M. carried,Dudley,
Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call.

of Yakima,71ashington; it is .provided. that a special election: shall be held therein on
December 6,1926,--for the purpose- of submitting to -the- qualified. voters o•fi said. City for
ratification', the, p.ropositi�on of- said City for-creating-an indebtedness i,n th.e- .sum of
$15q.,000, and.-A:s-suing bonds of said. City in .the, aggregate: sum of $1150,,000, for the purpose
of providing• funds for the - improvement of Walnut • S.tree•t, in ° the City . of Yakima ,!Nashington,by

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS,
Every voter at the election desiring to-vote inri favor of the following proposition
shall strike from--the ballot the words - "Bonds -No" -by making a cross in. the. square opposite
the words "Bond.s- Yes ", �so that. the -remaini•ng or unstriken part of said ballot. shall express
his vote on .said question, and every elector desiring to vote against said proposition shall
strike from the ballot the words "Bonds -Yes" by placing a cross in the square opposite the
words "Bonds-No",-so that the remaining.portion of said ballot.shall express his vote on.
said question..
The voter desiring t-o vote in favor-of- the .proposition--will place a cross in the
square opposite the words "Bonds -Yes ".
The voter desiring to vote against the proposition will place a cross in the

PROPOSITION
"Shall the City of Yakima create an indebtedness in the stun of �11)150,000 and. issue
eneral,negotiable bonds of the City of Yakima, lashington, in the aggregate sum of
,150,000, bearing_interest.at a rate not to exceed 6% per annum, payable semi- annually,said,
bonds to be payable serially and run for a period of W years, so�that the various annual
maturities will be, as ne, ar. as practicable.,. in such...amo.unts.as wi1-1,together with.interest
on all outstanding bonds,• 'be met by equal annual tax levies for--the payment of said. bonds
and interest,. all of which said bonds shall be numbered from V upward. consecutively,

City of Yakima,71ashington, or at the Fiscal Agencu of the State of Washington at New York
City, at the option of the holder., and-bear such..dates and be in such form and. denomina-

the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction and completion of the main supply of
pipe line,,reservoir, :Hain distri- ution-pipe line and. certain water mains, together with
all parts and appurtenances . thereof, and
WHEREaAS, it. is necessary that work be done and material. be: furnished.for the
same;
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKII!U,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Notice. shall ep ec ify that � t he . plans the ref o
and the items thereof are . divided and segregated into schedules � covering separate por-
tions of thew -ork to be done and-that-each bidder may submit a proposal upon the work
and materials therefor .included.. in any one_, or.,..more :schedule and:. that the. City: reserves.
the. right, to, award contracts - covering. each, �sche. Jule._ .s.epaxate_ly..or -,to award contract or
coht.rac.ts for one ox-more schedules.,. -and to reject the pro.posals_c_averi:ng the remaining

BE IT FUI=FR RESOLVED: That each proposal for the whole or. any parr t of
materials and work required for this improvement must be made upon the propo -sal blank
fu'khished bj the City Engineer and shall be enclosed in a special envelope and. filed
with the City Clerk not later than the hour hereinabove stated..-.
Each proposal must-be accompanied with cash,-or a bank draft, certificate of
deposit, or certified check upon some- solvent bank in an amount ..not less than five per c(
of the total amount of, the proposal, .which amount shall be forfeited to the City in the
event that the proposal covered thereby is accepted by the City and.the bidder shall.
neglect or refuse to enter into a contrac.t.with the City, and give bond with approved
sureties. for the performance of the work and the - fu.rnishing of the materials upon which
s-uch proposal is based. and. in accordance with the maps,profiles,plans,detail drawings
and. specifications therefor., in case a contract is awarded to him.
BE IT FURTHER RFSOLVrD: That a full copy of all maps,profiles,plans,detail
drawings and specifications for this improvement can be obtained. from the City Engineer
upon deposit of the- sum of Twenty -Five ($25.00) Dollars, which sun will be .refunded -
upon the, return of all drgwi_ngs and specifications in good condition if -accompanied by
the proposal) and
