August 23rd,1926.
The City Commission met in regular session,Mayor Dudley and Commissioners Hedges 'and. Traub
voting aye on roll ca11.
Moved. by Dud.ley,-seconded. by Hedges, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
August 16th,1:926, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved. as read.; carried, Dudley,
Hedges and. Traub voting aye on roll call.
Raoved by Traub, seconded by Dudley, tr_�.at the City Clerk give notice to contractors by
publication as required by law for the improvement of Sixth Avenue north from West C Street
to Jerome Avenue by constructing a pavement four feet in width on the west side thereof in
Local Improvement District No.417; said bids to be received on Tuesday,Septerrnber 7th,192.6,
at 10 o °clock A.M. as set forth in Resolution No.B -998 , passed, by the City Commission
August 23rd.,1926; carried,Dudley,Hedges and Traub voting aye on roll call.
:RESOLUTION N0.B- 997,WHE `_TAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of a certain triangular tract
of land. known as "Fraternal Park ", situated partly in the Southwest Quarter of Section 19
and partly in th.e Northwest Quarter of Section 30, all in Township 13 North, Range 18,E.W.M
and bound.ed..on the north by Adams Avenue, on the east by South Third Street and on .the west
by South Second. Street; and also that certain tract of land, located. in the Southwest
quarter of said Section. 19,and bounded. on the North by Race Street and on the East by
.South Third Street and on the South by Adams Avenue; and
V.M_ .SAS, on the 2.'16t day' of June ,1923 , said property was leased. to' the
Yakima Commercial Club for a-period of five years witha five- year renewal clause; and
iNIL� FAS, the Yakir:a Chamber of Commerce desires to cancel said. lease and
enter into a new lease. for a period of five years from August 23rd,1926, with an option of
a five year renewal; and
WHETEAS, the City Commission of the City of Yakima,Wasfiington, considers
that this should. be done;

That the Mayor and City Clerk enter into a lease with the Yakima Colmnerc-
ial Club for-the property above described for the period. of five (5) years from August
23rd.,1926, with an option of a five (5) year renewal of said privilege, the fona of which
said. lease and conditions therein is hereurnto.attached and made a part of this resolution.

established. for the purpose of improving Sixth Avenue North from the north line of West
"C" Street to North Avenue, by grading and. paving the same with_a one course Portland. cemen
concrete pavement;
AND =RFAS, it is deerned.' advisable by the City Conunission- to further
improve said. property from 'Nest "C" Street to' Jerome Avenue, by rad.ing and.*paving :the
same with a one- course Portland. cement concrete pavement four (4) feet.in width on the West
side of said improvement from West "C" Street' to Jerome Avenue;
AND WHEREAS, it i.s deemed' advisable by the City Commission to pay for
said improvement from the General Road. and. Bridge Fund of the City of Yakima'Washington;
NOW =RFFORF, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIM CITY CGILMISSION OF-THE. CITY OF
YARIMA,WASHINGT ON:
That Sixth Avenue North from West 6 1C" Street to Jerome Avenue to be
imroved. by grading and.;:constructing a one course Portland cement concrete pavement four
(4 p feet in width on the West side of said improvement as described in Local. Improvement
District No-417;
AND BE IT FURTHER RFSOLVED by the City Commiss=i. on: That all expense
incidental to said. improvement to be paid out' of the General Road and. Bridge Fund of said
City.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Clerk give notice .to con-
tractors as provided by lal:,i.
