The City Commission met in regular session,lvlayor Dudley and Commissioner,,- Traub..
voting-aye on-roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved by Dudley, seconded. by Traub, that the minutes of the regular meetang of Monday,
August 2nd.,1926, are- hereby approved as read; carried.,Dudley,_: and Traub voting aye
on roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved. by Traub, seconded. by Dudley, that the City Engineer having reported. the-completion
of the improvement of constructing Sub District No.12, of the General Water System in
Local Improvement District No.4223, by the City under- face account,. amounting _to 578.68;
said work is, hereby accepted. and: the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment
roll therefor and. the City Clerk authorized t'o give notice of hearing on said -roll for
Mond.ay,August 30t :-,,1926, at 9 o'clock A.M. Dudley and Traub -voting aye on roll call,
Hedges absent.
Moved by Traub, seco nded. by Dudley, that this' being the time for the hearing on Re'solutio
No.B -933 to' improve "A" Street from North Sixth Street t'o North Seventh Street and - "B "'
Street from North Naches .Venue to North Seventh Street by grading and paving the sarde.;
said. hearing is hereby continued to Monday,August 16th,1926, at 9 o'clock A.M. for the
reason that approximately 46% of the property in said. district objected to said. work,
and. a further- hearing -was consid.ered. advisable; carried,Dudley and Traub voting aye on
roll call; Hedges-. absent.

No -.B -934 to improve both. si d.es of North. Ninth Street from Yakima Avenue to "B" Street by
constructing a sidewalk 6 feet in width, and more than 50% of the property. owners obj ecte
to said improvement, it is hereby ordered. that said improvement be abandoned; carried.,

Moved. by Traub, second:ed by Hedges, that this being the time for receiving bids for
grading and. graveling North Ninth Street from ":13;" Street to "D" Street in Local Improve -
ment District No..425, the- following bids were received:- Halstead. & Noel,$1772.40 and
Wilson & DeBlasio, $2863.25; both bids were rejected for the reason that Halstead. and
Noel did not present their bid until after the hour of receiving same, and the City Clerk
was authorized to readvertise by publication as required by law; said bids to be received
on honday,August 30th,1926, at 10 o'clock A.M. carried, Dudley and Traub voting aye on
roll call, Hedges.abs.ent..
Moved by Traub, seconded. by Hedges, that this being the time for receiving-bids for
grading and graveling Sixth Avenue Soii-th from St-Helens Street to Baker Street in Local
Improvement District No.426, the f ollowing bids- were received: Halstead & Noel, $654.76
and. Wilson & De Blasi6,$1059.50; both bids were rejected. for the reason that' Halstead. &
Noel did. not present their bid until after th-e hour for receiving same and the City
Clerk was authorized -to re- advertise by publication as required by law for Monday,A -uig.
30th, ].926, at 10 o'clock A.M. carried,Dudley and Traub voting aye on roll call, Hedges
abtient.
Moved. by Dud.ley,second.ed. by Traub, that. this being the time for receiving bids for
constructing a s-ewe-r in Blocks 29 and 30, in Local Improvement District No.424; the
following bids were received; R.A.Geary, X1893.75 and. Wilson & DeBlasio, $2318.75.
The bid. of R.A.Geary -.in- the sum* of $1893.75 being the lowest and. best bid., s aid contract
was awarded to him and. the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contrac
for said work upon the filing of the proper bond; carried, Dud -ley and Traub voting aye on
roll , call, Hedges absent..
Moved. by Traub, seconded by Dudley, that this being the time for receiving bids for
paving North Front Street from "B" Street to "C" Street and there being more than 50%
of the property bwners.obje_c.ti.ng to said work, said bids were not opened and he.aring_-c_onti
for oneweek ;carri.ed,Dudley and Traub voting aye on roll call, Hedges absent.
Moved by Traub, seconded by Hedges, that this being the time for receiving bids for doing
the plm.bing for the addition to the City Hall and the bid of M- .Morton- in the sum of
$1094.00 being the only bid. presented said contract was awarded to him and the taayor and
City Clerk authorized, to enter into a contract for doing said work upon _filing the
proper bond;carried,Dudley and Traub voting aye on roll.cal -1, Hedges absent.
Moved by Dud.ley,second•ed by Traub, that the bond. of M.Mort on, contractor,. for doing the
plumbing for the addition to the City Hall, in the sum of $1094.00 is hereby accepted and
filed with the City C1erk;carried,Dudle;T and Traub voting aye on roll call, Hedges absent.
