the use of public streets, sidewalks etc., for the purpose of vending gasoline,oil etc.,

RESOLUTION NO.B- 925,W1E,REAS, a petition has been filed requesting the establishment of a
Local Improvement District for the purpose of constructing the necessary pipe lines and
appurtenances and acquiring the necessary water and water rights in order to supply various
lots and tracts of land with water for irrigation and domestic purposes, which said Local
Improvement District is to receive its water supply through the pipe lines of Local Improve
anent. District No.-S-78 of the City of Yakima,'Vlas hington;and
11WHEREAS, it i_s deemed. expedient by the City Commission that a local improvement
district be formed for the purpose of constructing the necessary pipe lines and, appurtenan
ces and acquiring the necessary neater and water rights in order to supply various lots and
tracts of land with water for irrigation and. domestic purposes;'

WASHINGTON:
That. the City of Yakima intends and. hereby declares its intention to improve the
following described. property,to -wit:
Lots 1 to 10 inclusive of Sherman Addition and. the North 120 feet of the South
150 feet of the East 366 feet of the nest 396 feet of the Northwest quarter of
the Northwest cuarter of Section 24,Township 13 North,Range 18,E.W.M., all in
the City of Yakima,Washington.
This improvement is to consist of the acquiring of the necessary water and. grater.
rights for furnishing water for irrigation and. dome -stic purposes to a.11 the property above
described. and the construction of an extension to the lateral pipe line of the General
"later System of the City of Yakima,located. in the alley between Lincoln and Garfield
Avenues and. running west from the main pipe line located. on Lewis Avenue, said.extension
to run west 360 feet along a line parallel with and. 135 feet north of the north line of
Lincoln Avenue' from a point 373.5 feet,i. ;west of the west line of Lewis Avenue, togetlier with
galvanized iron pipe service connections extending from said lateral pipe line to the
marginal lines of each lot or ttact..of land within said. district abutting upon either side
of the lateral pipe herein provided. for, and the doing of such other work as may be
necessary in connection therewith. Said pipe line is to be connected and receive water
through the pipe line of the water system of the City of Yakima,Washington, as provided. by
Ordinance No-A -833 of the City of Yakima,Washington, establishing Local Improvement Distric
No-378, which said Ordinance was passed by the City Commission on' the 31st day o f* !March,
1924-:
All of the cost and expense of the construction and. installation of saidd zpipe
line and appurtenances, acquiring and purchasing easements and rights of way,engineering
and advertising, and all other expenses incident thereto shall be assessed against all of
the property above de-sc-ribed. in-the, manner provided by law.
All persons who may desire to object to the proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear at a meeting of'the City Commission to be held in the City Office
Build.ing in the City of Yakima,Yakima Cournty,17ashington, at the hour of 9 o'clock A.Tut. on
Monad.y, the 28th day of June,1926, which time and. place Lre hereby fixed for the hearing
o ' all matters relating to said. proposed. im-proverment, or objections thereto, and for
determining the method. of payment therefor, and the City'Clerd is hereby directed to give
notice of said. hearing an= of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expense of said, improvement shall be borne by and assessed. ag,,inst
all of the property legally and. properly assessable therefor, as provided. -by law, and the
City Engineer is hereby directed. to submit to the City Commission, at or prior to the date
fixed. for said hearing, all of the'd.ata and. other information recuired.'by law to be sub-
mitted. by him.

RESOLUTION NO..3- 926',VH -M1 AS, for the purpose of acquiring a municipal water system, there
has been diverted from the Current Expense Fund of the City of Yakima the sumo -of
=$22,738.14; .from the Road. and. Bridge Fund the sum of $4,918.04, and from the Revolving
Fund. the sum of $1,171.75 ; an d
T-I SAS, the City had a claim-against the Pacific Power &.Light Company in the sum
of $22,690.00 for over - payments on, fire hydrant rental; and.
719REAS, in the purchase of the Pacific Power &.Light Company's water plant, this
claim was aband -oned- as part of the consideration therefor; and
WIT IE EAS, said. su#i of $22,690.00 should. be paid. into the Current Exp.ense Fund. from
the Municipal ''dater Fund.; and
WHEREAS, the Current Expense Fund., the Road. and. Bridge Fund, and the Revolving Fund
should. be reimbursed, from the Municip 'al Water Fund. for moneys expended in the acquiring of
a municipal water plant;

We, the undersigned, members of the City Commission of the City of Yakima,washington,
having met as a canvassing board on the first Tuesday following the Special Municipal electno
held. on the lst day of June,1926, to- wit,on Tuesd.ay, -the 8th day of June,1926, at the .hour of
9 o'clock A.M, for the purpose of canvassing the returns of said.Special Municipal election,
do now hereby ..certify that we have carefully and completely canvassed. the returns of all the
votes cast at said Special Municipal election for and against the proposition submitted. to
the voters of said. city " for acquiring by purchase. the entire. water distribution system of
the ?'ac:ific Powe-r & Light Company's Yakima Watervworks Plant, and such portion of its main
water supply line as may.be.necessary to connect with the proposed municipal supply line, and.
to incorporate such distribution system and water supply line.i.nto the proposed municipal
waterworks system described in said. Ordinance No.A -918 as an integral part thereof, and.to
eliminate such portions of the distribution system described in said Ordinance No.A_918 as
will not be required because of such purchase, and to make the necessary connections between
said. proposed. municipal water supply line., and said Pacific Power & Light Company's distribu-
tion system, and. said proposition and. plan as so changed-and modified be adopted and ratigied
and we do find. from said. returns and. votes cast at said. Special Municipal election that the
number of votes cast in.favor and against the above proposition in each of the several pre-

'lle,therefore,fi:nd and determine from the above and. foregoing_ canvass of returns that
the total number of votes cast at said. Special Municipal election was 1639,-and the total
number of votes cast in favor-of the above proposition was 1526 and the total number of
votes cast against the above proposit -ion was 113, and we further find. and. determine from
the above and. foregoing canvass, that the said proposition rec.eived. a sufficient number -of
votes at said.Special Municipal election to carry the same, and we do hereby declare and. c

RESOLUTION NO.B -927, A RESOLUTION providing for the registration of the $450,000 of General
Negotiable Coupon Water Bonds, and $1,050,000 of Special Water Bonds of the -City of Yakima,
Washington, authorized to be issued. under and pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No.A-
918 and A -952 of said City of Yakir.,a.
VtREAS, pursuant to the provisions' of Ordinance No-A-918 of the City of
Yakima, there was submitted to the qualified voters of said city the question of the ac-
uiring of a municipal waterworks system and the issuance of.450,000 of General Bonds and
a ,050,000 of Special Bonds. to pay the cost thereof;and
WHERE'Aft said. proposition was duly adopted by the voters oi' said city, and
thereafter, by ordinance No.m.A -952 the City Council provided. the form of said.bond.s and.
provided for the sale thereof, and. said. bonds have now been legally sold. and. are about to be
delivered, and. the purchasers_.ther.eof desire that said bonds be registered in the manner
provided. by the .statute:s: of the State of `Alashington;

Vashington, as follows:
Section 1. That the City Treasurer of the City of Yakima be and. he is hereby
designated as the Registrar for the .,1 450,000 of General Water Bonds. and $1,050,000 of
Special mater Bonds issued' by said. City under the authority of Ordinance A -918 and. Ordinance
A -952 of said. City.
Section 2. The City Treasurer of said. City is hereby a�. thorized. and. directed
to register any and. all of said. bonds as to principal at any fiime when such bonds shall be
presented. to. him by the holders thereof.
Section,3.':- Upon presentation of any bond or bonds for registration, the
City Treasurer shall endorse on the reverse of said bond or bonds a certificate of registra-
tion in the following form:
"CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION.
"It is hereby certified. that-at the request of the holder of the within bond
for its conversionointo a registered. bond, I have this day hereby converted the same into
a registered. bond as to principal, which shall be payable to the registered. holder named in
the registration blank below, or his legal representatives.

This bond may be registered. as to principal under the signature of the City
Treasurer of the City of Yakima, and, shall thereafter be transferable only upon a written
assignment of the registered. owner, or his attorney, duly acknowled.ged or proved, such
registration and. transfer to be endorsed. hereon and entered..in the books of said. City kept
by the Treasurer for that purpose. Such transfer may be to "bearer ". The coupons shall
remain payable to bearer.
