of the private property abutting upon that portion of Poplar Street in the City of Yakima
providing for the vacation of-that part of said Poplar Street as follows:
Beginning on.the north line of Poplar Street at its intersecti)n with the west

the official plat thereof now on file and of record. in the office of the County Auditor of

election shall be held. in said. city on June. 1,11-)26, for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified. voters of said. city for ratification or rejection the ;pro= position of modifying

Ordinance No.A -918 of ,said. City and. as ratified by the voters of said city at an.election

WI- EREAS, it is necessary to provide for the form of ballot to be used at said
special election;

1. That the ballot used at said special election to be held June lst,1926,
shall be in substantially the following form:

Under and Pursuant to Ordinance No.A -976 of said. City.
INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS.
Every voter desiring to vote in favor of the following proposition shall mark an
X in the square opposite the words, "In favor of the above proposition ", and. every voter
desiring to vote against the said proposition shall mark an X in the square opposite the
words "Against the above proposition".
PROPOSITION.
"Shall the proposition and. plan for acquiring and constructing a complete municipal
water system for said City of Yakima and- paying therefor by the issuance of general and
special -revenue bonds, as proposed and adopted by Ordinance No-A-918 of:said.City and
ratified. by the vote of the people of said city at a special election held-therein on
October 14,1925, be changed and modified-in the following particular alone, to -wit:
"That the City of Yakima acquire.by purchase the entire water distribution system
on the Pacific Power &.Light. Company's Yakima Waterworks Plant, and. such portion of its
main water suppiry line as may be necessary to connect with the proposed municipal supply li.n
and to incorporate such distribution system and mater supply line into the proposed municipa
waterworks system .described in said Ordinance A -918, as-an integral part_ thereof, and. to
eliminate such portions 6f the. distribution system described. in said. Ordinance A -918 as will
not be required because of such purchase; and. to make the necessary connections between said
proposed municipal water supply line and. said Pacific Power & Light Company's distribution
system and. said. proposition and. plan as so changed and. modified be adopted and ratified.

RESOLUTION NO.B -921, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C018TISSION OF THE CITY OF VK IIV1A,7'1ASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to improve North Sixth Street from Yakima Avenue to D
Street, and A Street from North Naches ,Avenue to North Sixth Street, by grading and. paving
the same with either a one course Portland. cement concrete pavement, a vibrolithic concrete
pavement or a pavement having a bituminous concrete wearing surface and. either a Portland.
cement concrete base, 'a black base or a_ crushed rock base, the pavement on.North Sixth
Street to be 50 feet in width from Yakima Avenue to A Street and 40 feet in width from A
Street to D Street, and the pavement on A Street to be 32 feet in width, also by construct -
ing concrete curbs along each side of said streets: ;. by constructing the necessary pipes and.
drains and. concrete walks at street intersections and by d.oing all such other work as may
be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with the plans and. specifications
therefor to be prepared. by the City Engineer and filed. with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said p.r oposed. improvement are hereby
notified. to appear and, present such objections at a -meeting of the City Conuaission to be
held. at its offices in the City Office Building in the City of Yakima vlashington, at the
hour of nine o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 24th day of May, 1926, which time and place are
hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, all
objections thereto and. for determining the method of payment therefor and the City Clerk is
hereby directed. to give due notice of said hearing and. of the intention to make the afore-
said. improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against
all of the property legally and. properly assessable therefor, as provided by law, and the
City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission, at or prior to the date
fixed herein for said. hearing, all of the data and other information required by law 'to
be submitted. by him.
