being a petition of remonstrance aggregating over 50 of the -property owners said.bids
were not considered, and the improvement abandoned and. all proceedings in connection with
the establishment of a Local Improvement District is hereby rescinded.; carried,Dud.ley,

acquiring, constructing and. maintaining of a complete system of #ater works by the City of
Yakima; and.
S F_?- REAS, in pursuance of the plan of acquiring and rcainttining a complete system of
water works by said City, it.is necessary to trench, lay and. place pipe, valves and. fittings
upon certain streets and avenues in the City of Yakima.,'llashington, described. as follows,
to-wit:
North Sixth Street between Yakima Avenue and. .E Street;
North Seventh Street between Yakima Avenue and. H Street;
B.Street between North Naches Avenue and North ". Seventh Street;
D Street between North Naches Avenue and north Seventh Street;
Second Avenue North between West Yakima Avenue and West D Street;
Nest B Street between First Avenue North and Second Avenue.-North;
West C Street between First Avenue North and Second. Avenue North;
Sixth Avenue North between West C Street and North Avenue;
And. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has heretofore made and compiled. complete plans and.
specifications therefor for the furnishing of the.necessary pipe,valves,fittings and other
materials and. for trenching,laying and. placing said pipe,valves and fittings upon the street
heretofore described.,which said plans and specifications are now on file in the office of
the City Clerk in the City of Yakima,Washington;and

in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Yakima,�UaLA, ington, be, and the same are here
adopted.; and
BF IT FURTHER RESOLVIDET That the City Clerk give notice to contractors as re-
quired. by the lar,rs arid. statutes of the State of �lashington and. the ordinances of said. City;
that on Thursday, the 13th day of May,1926, at the hour of 10 o'clock A.M.,' of said. date
sealed. bids or proposals will be received., by the City Commission for the ,furnishing of saic
pipe and. materials as heretofore set out, all in accordance with the plans .and specifications
hereinbefore adopted. and. now on file with the City Clerk, and that sealed bids or_nproposals
must be accompanied by cash or a .certified. check payable to the order of the City Treasurer
of said. City for a sum not less than five (5 %) per cent of said bid. or proposal.; and. that
none will be consid.e.red unless accompanied. by such deposit, which said d.epo.sit will be
forfeited _to the City of Yakima in the event tbLe successful bidder shall fail or refuse to
