Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that there being no business to come before the City Commission we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, November 20th,1923; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that this being the time and place for canvassing the returns of the votes cast at the Primary Election held on Monday, November 19th,1923, the City Clerk is hereby authorized to prepare the necessary statement therefor and—publish according to law; carried, Rovig,Fraser an d,Tfiarble voting aye on roll call. CANVASS -OF TIiN RETURNS OF THE PRIlVARY ETZCTI:)N held in the City of Yakima, lashington, on the 19th day of November 1923, for the purpose of nominating candidates for Mayor and Commissioners to be voted for at the General Municipal.Election on the 3rd day of December 1923. I, Pearl Benjamin, the duly appointed, qualified and acting City Clerk of the City of Yak ima, Wash ington, and charged by law vr;ith the duty of canvassing; the vote cast at the Primary election held on the 19th day of November 1923, for the purpose of making- nomina- tions for Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Yakima,'Tiashington, to be voted for on the 3rd day of December 1923, do hereby certify that .1 have carefully and completely canvassed the returns and votes cast at said election; that the number of votes cast for the several candidates at said Primary election are as follows,to -wit: For Mayor Erie J. Barnes -17m B. Dudley R.D. Rovig Forrest H. Sweet No. of Votes For Commissioners 548 C.E. Fraser 1717 George E. Friesen 867, John T. Hedges 385 `T7.C. Marion Henry Traub No. of votes 1130 488 2218 1260 1671 I, therefore, find and determine from the above and foregoing canvass and totals, that the two persons receiving the highest number of votes cast at said primary election for Tiayor are, Wm. B. Dudley and R.D. Rovig, and that the four persons receiving the highest votes cast for Commissioners at said Primary election are C.E. Fraser, John T. Hedges, W.C. Marion and Henry Traub, and that said persons as above designated are the persons whose names -will appear and be upon the official ballot at the General Iiunicipal Ehection to be held on the 3rd day of December 1923.
