TMoved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, September 4th,1923, .be approved as read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded b,- 1farble, that claims on the Current Expense, Parr., Cemetery and Permanent Highway Funds be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,,Fraser and Marble voting aye .on- roll call. Loved by Marble , seconded by Fraser, that this being the time and place for the hearing on Resolution No.B -839 for covering open ditches in -the City of Yakima; it is, ordered that said hearing be adjourned to Monday, September 24th,1923, at 9 o'clock A,.M.. carried, Rovig, Fraser and L11arble voting aye on roll call. B -841, BE IT RESOLVED BY TBE CITY COMMISSION OF TIIE CITY OF YAKIIu1A ,'0 ASIIINGTON : That it is its intention to imiprove Belmont Avenue and Ut.Ve-rnon Avenue, each from Sixteenth Avenue North to Fifteenth Avenue North and Fifteenth Avenue North from `lest A Street to the alley -north of vilest Yakima Avenue, ,by grading and paving th.e .same with either a one course Portland .cement concrete pavement, or a pavement having a bituminous concrete wearing surface and either a Portland cement concrete base, a black base or a crushed rock base, and by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith all in- accordance -with plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer, and filed witl-i the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereb, notified to appear and-present such objections at a meeting of the City Cormlission to be held at its offices in the City office building, in the City of Yakima, on, at the hour of nine o' clock ..a .IM, on IMonda;y, the lst day of October,1923, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and ex pense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessible therefor as provided by lacy, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all. of the data-and other information required by law to be submitted by him. RESOLUTION NO.B- 842,BE IT RESOLVED BY TILE CITY COTJ1JLISSIOJT OF THE CITY OF YAKII1,1.A, e,1ASHIN1GTON• That it is the intention of the City of Yakima, to improve Yakima Avenue and vVest Yakima Avenue from Eighth Street to Eleventh Aven;!e, also North Front Street and South Front Street, North First Street and South First Street, North Second Street and South Second Street and North Third Street and South Third Street each from A Street to Chestnut Street by the construction and installation of a curb lighting system., said system to consist of incandescent electric lamps enclosed in glass globes supported upon ornamental lanp posts at intervals of about 100 feet along the north and south sides of said Yakima Avenue, the east side of front Street and the east and crest sides of said First, Second and Third Stree -t_s between the points aforesaid, all of said lamps to be connected tirith an insulated copper conductor in 1,2-ie form of a parking cable to be placed beneath the surface of the -pavements, sidewalks and parking strips along e�;ch side of said streets and connected with the electric power limes of the Pacific Power and Light Company, - together vrit all necessary transformers, lighting arresters, switches and other appurtenances, and by doing all such other --Rork as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance -with the plans and specifications therefor, prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk- All persons -vrho 7na,'y .desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a nrieeting o.f.the City Commission to be held at its offices in the City Office wilding,. in the City of Yakima, Washington, at the hour of nine o'clock A.%2. on IMonday, the 1st day of October,1923, Zirlaich time and place are hereby fixed for. the hearing of all matters relating to said .proposed improvement, all objections thereto and for deterrrlining the method of payment therefor, and tti_e City Clerk is hereby directed to giye due notice of said hearing and of the intention to m�-.ke the aforesaid improvement.
