The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August,15, 1955 were approved as read. The following bids were received for the construction of an irrigation system on Clinton Way, L.I.D. No. 817: De Blasio Bros $2786.95 Carroll & Sanislo 7,z69.54 It was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Burns that the bid of Carroll and Sanislo being the lowest and best bid in the sum of $7,z69.54 be accepted and the Mayor and 6ity Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said work up- on filing of proper bond as provided by law: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. Moved by Huey, seconded-by Burns that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to advertise for bids for the construction of curbs and gutters on Lots 1 to 13, inclusive, of Westview Addition; said bids to be received on Monday, September 12, 1955 at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried; Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the Glacier Way sewer system, L.I.D. No. 806, by the contractor, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer is hereby instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll for Monday, the 12th day of September 1955, at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the Rolling Green Sewer system, L.I.D. No. $07, by the contractor, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district 6ity and the Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on assessment roll for Monday, September 12, 1955 at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried, Burns, and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1270, providing for the improve- ment of constructing concrete curbs and gutters on Lots 1 to 33 inclusive, of Westview Addition, and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise, to said improvement, or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1730, creating L.I.D. No. 818, be passed as read: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1730, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by gracing, ballast ng, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establising a local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll covering L.I.D. No-797, pro- viding for the 37th Avenue North, Lots 1 to 16 Rice- Dibbert Addition, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof, it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1731, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. B -17311 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improv ment District No. 797 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1651 of the Ordinance of the City of Yakima . - ,q.,35 A^d i 8 AUGUST 22, 1955 This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll covering L.I.D. No. $02, pro- viding for the Mead Avenue curb and gutter district, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof, it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1732, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1732, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 802 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1669 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1733, rezoning Lots 1 to 10 and Lot 16, Rice- Dibbert Addition, from "All residence to "B" residence, be passed as read: carried, Burns acid Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1733, AN ORDINANCE rezoning certain specific property situate in the Cit3 of Yakima, Yakima;County, Washington. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Resolution No. C -1276 transferring the sum of 4453.33, for the purchase of a Pug Mill for the City Street Department, from the sum of 11,000.00 provided for the purchase of a Loader to replace a Scoop and which will not be entirely used for said Scoop, be adopted as read: carried, Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -1276, WHEREAS, the budget of the Street Department for 1955 as shown by Ordinance No. B -1606 contains an item of "Loader to Replace Scoop, $11,000..0011; and it appearing that subsequent to the adoption of said budget it has been ascertained that said $11,000.00 item will not be entirely used for said item; and it appearing that the sum of x$4,453.33 is needed for the purchase of a Pugmill for said Street Department; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the sum of $4,453.33 is hereby transferred from the said $11,000.00 item in the Street Department budget for 1955, for the purchase of a Pugmill for said street department; the expenditure of said surir for said purpose being hereby fu ly and in all respects authorized and approved and the appropriate city officials are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to do any and all things necessary or proper for carrying out this resolution.
