The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 1, 1955, were approved as read. This being the time for the hearing on tion of an irrigation system in Lots 1 Addition and there being no objections any part thereof, it was MOVED by Huey, creating Local Improvement District No. voting aye on roll call. Resolution No. C -1263, providing for the construe to 16, inclusive,of Block 2 of Shannon Homes in writing or otherwise to said improvement, or seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1723, 817, be passed as read: carried, Huza and Huey ORDINANCE NO. B -17231 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the Ci of Yakima, Washington, by constructing an irrigation system to serve various lots and tracts of land; establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. This being the time for receiving bids for the construction of curbs and gutters on 21st Avenue South, L.I.D.'No. $15, the following were received- Lone Pine Paving Co. DeBlasio Bros. 8,427.10 7,977.55 Said bids were ordered tabulated--and disposition to be made at .a later date. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 780, providing for the curbs and gutters on Douglas Drive, anc3. there being insufficient protest against said assessment roll or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1724 confirming said assessment roll, and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. ORDINANCE N0. B -1724, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Imp ment District No. 780 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -15$5 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 798, providing for the construction of a sewer in Crescent Hill Addition, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof, it was MOVED. by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1725, confirming assessment roll, and every part thereof, be passed as read: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1725, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 798 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1658 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. This being the time'for the hearing on the assessment roll, covering L.I.D. No. 785, pro- viding for the construction of curbs and gutters on 9th Avenue North from Willow Street to Fruitvale Blvd and there being objections from property owners in said district, it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that said hearing be postponed for one week: carries Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the hearing on Resolution No. C -1248 for construct- ing curbs and gutters on Thornton Lane be futher postponed to a later date: carried, Huza.and._Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the City Clerk be authorized to advertise: for bids for the purchase of a billing machine for the City Water Department; said bids to be re- ceived on Monday, the 22nd day of.August 1955, at 10 o'clock A.M.: carried, Huza and Huey voting,aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza th�.t the City Engineer having reported the completion of the improvement of the paving of the alleys in Block 2$ City and 351 Capitol Addition, L.I.D. No. 805, by the contractor, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll by publication as required by law for Monday, August 29, 1955 at 10 o'clock a.m.: carried, Buza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Burns absent. Moved.by'Hu6y -, seconded by Huza that the City Attorney is hereby instructed to prepare the necessary papers for the petition for annexation of property located at the South- east corner of Mead Avenue and South First Street for Monday, August 15, 1955: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that this being the time for the hearing on rezoning Nots. 303, 305, 306 and 308 Holton Avenue from "B" Residence to "C" Residence zone be granted: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey seconded by Huza that Lot 19.and a portion of Lot 20, Neilants Memorial Heights Addition, be rezoned from "Alt Residence to "B" Residence Zone, Area 1: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Lot 16, Block 412 Capitol Addition, being number 201 South 12th Avenue be rezoned from "E" Residence to "C" Residence: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that we do now recess until 2 otclock p.m.: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the hearing on the rezoning of lots 1 to 10 and Lot 16 of the Rice - Dibbert Addition from "All residence zone to "B" Residence zone; Area and Height to remain the same as at the present time, be postponed to a later date: carried, Huza and Huey Voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that both bids for the construction of curbs and gutters on 21st Avenue South L.I.D. No. 815 namely, Lone Pine Paving Company in the sum of $8,427.10 and DeBlasio Bros., in the sum of $7,977.55 be rejected: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Burns absent. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the City Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids for materials such as alcohol, antifreeze and permanent type in containers and bulk; also 3/4 grind kiln dried salt FOB yard, as per specifications to be filed in the City Clerkts office; said bids to be received on Tuesday, September 6, 1955 at 10 otclock- a.m.: carried, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
