The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 6th 1955, and adjourned meeting there of, were approved as read. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1244, providing for the paving of the alley in Block 133, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement, or any part thereof; it was MOVED by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B- 1698,.creating L.I.D. No. 810 for the paving of both Block 132 and 133, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE N0. B -169$1 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, and paving with asphaltic concrete placed on a crushed rock base; establishing • Local Improvement District, providing for the method of pa gent therefor, and creating • special fund. Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1699, being an ordinance providing for the expenditure of x$1,520.56 for property in Pomona Heights, Division No. 14, which was introduced and read in full by the City Clerk on Monday, June 6th 1955, and laid on the table for_ one week, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1699, AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for-the purchase of certain real estate, and declaring an emergency. Cl Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C -1248, being a resolution of inten- tion to improve Clinton Way from 24th Avenue South to 28th Avenge South by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters, be passed as read: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1249, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve Clinton Way from 24th Avenue South to 28th Avenue South by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters. The district to be served by and assessed fbr the above describe( ..improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows: Lots 1 to 16 inclusive, Block 2, Shannon Homes Addition to the City of Yakima, according to the recorded plat thereof on file in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Wash ington. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday the 5th day of July, 1955; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of sa'_ improvement, including the engineering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto shall be levied and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above des- cribed; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the date and other information required by law to be by him submitted; all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. RESOLUTION NO. C -12509 BEFORE THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, STATE OF WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION OF ) KNOBEL AVENUE from 38th Avenue ) RESOLUTION NO. C -1250 North to the Yakima Valley Canal ) right of way, Yakima, Washington ) A RESOLUTION fixing the time for hearing on Petition for vacation of street. WHEREAS, a Petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of a portion of a street described as follows, to -wit: Knobel Avenue from 38th Avenue North to the Yakima Valley Canal right of way. The property facing on this street is Lots 15, 16, 17 and 18 of Glenview Addition, Yakima, Washington. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA.- I� 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 JUNE 13,, 1955 That said petition shall be brought on for hearing and determin= ation on Monday, the 11th day of July, 1955, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock a.m. on the said day at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law. of June, 1955. BURNS Mayor Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that the City Attorney is hereby instructed to prepare the necessary proceedings fcr the annexation of certain property petitioned for by Roy Neiland and others, for consideration on Monday, June 20th, 1955 at 10 o'clock a.m: carried, Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
